Kershaw Tilt...again.

Oh, I will use it. I think I will buy another to keep as a safe queen. This one will get used! :D
Good call. I think you'll appreciate it even more after you've used it. I've been using the Tilt I got from Dave since the day I got it -- mostly at home to cut up cardboard boxes -- and that Vanax 75 is fantastic stuff.

I really hope I'm able to get one of these. I put in my pre-order with Dave sort of late since my first pre-order fell through since the site wouldn't be recieveing any. Thanks to everyone who posted pics...its been holding me over until I get mine. Sort of ;)

Picked up my Tilt today and I must give a hearty congrats to Thomas and the entire Kershaw team. This thing is simply awesome in the true sense of the word. Opens lightening fast. Only starting to get used to how light it is. Also want to give a shout out to Dave for outstanding and fast service. Cheers!!

Any chance that more Tilts will be available? I'm dying to get one but got late to the party.

Got mine in the mail yesterday. Abso-freakin-lutely amazing! Flips like a dream, fits in hand perfectly, and looks right at home next to my Volt and Speedform.

I'm really digging the KVT system, and can't wait to see it make it into more models. There are plans for more KVT knives, right (other than the ZT 0777)?

Got mine on Saturday from Dave but didn't get to it til this morning. Package shipped out on the 29th and arrived on 10/1, but the ninja mail passed the package onto a dolt who jammed my mailbox shut with the package, so I had to wait.

I had predicted that the knife would give my Galyean Pro Turbulence some competition, but that's not the case simply because the two are different animals. This thing promptly kicked my R.J. Martin Overkill out of my pocket:thumbup:. Mostly because while the Turbulence had a similar profile, the Tilt was so much bigger that it wasn't even fair to compare the 2.

Hard to tell with the angle, but the Tilt is easily bigger than my Overkill. Weight is very light thanks to the skeletonized titanium frame and liners, making my Overkill heavier despite the smaller size.

A definite homerun for Kershaw, and 100% worth the wait:D.

Man, unfortunate to have your mailbox jammed closed
:(

If I knew I had a Tilt in there, I would have tore my mailbox apart!

I forgot to mention the 056x, thanks for reminding me. But I was looking more for the possibility of some more...I guess "value-minded" models, something not too fancy, exotic, or high-end outside the KVT mechanism. Y'know, something I could convince someone who's not a knife nut to buy.

That would depend on how much it would cost to put the KVT in a knife. Though a better question is, why would someone who's not a knife nut want the KVT?

I'm personally interested in seeing if the KVT and Hawk Lock can be implemented together, as I suspect that would literally be a zero resistance pivot. I noticed that the blade hangs loose if the lock is disengaged all the way so that the detent doesn't press against the blade, and so I thought it would be interesting if KVT was used with a lock type that doesn't exert a constant detent force against the blade, or if the lock can continually be disengaged without the finger lying in the path like with the Hawk Lock or Spyderco's Compression Lock(also noticed my Para2 blade hangs loosely when the lock is disengaged).

Now i am pissed,,,I just checked knifecenter and it says the tilt is discon'd...after i had a pre-order for almost a year,,,what gives???:):grumpy:

Weird. Maybe that's just their way of closing down any further pre-orders because they've met or exceeded the number they expect to be able to fulfill? Just a guess, though.

Listen, quit stressing folks. The knife retailers took as many pre-orders as they could fill then closed their sales off. This is all just marketing and sales and you can choose to flip out and go onto eBay and pay $150 over asking price or we can all take a deep breath and wait for the knives we pre-ordered to get in. I know this is a hobby for us but for them this is all business. They went through a hefty chunk of R&D and manufacturing and they need to make some cash back so I am sure there will be enough toys for all us boys and girls.
This is my first post but I feel it is time to give my opinion... So just chill amigos. I am excited to get mine too and I called a retailer today just to ask how my order is coming along and they said they actually under sold their pre-orders so they would be certain they had enough for all. No way! So seriously folks I know that some of us have been waiting a while but it will all be good in the end.
That being said I am also pumped to get one, this knife is amazing. Ok, that's all I have for you, it's beer time.

Just noticed that the word "Tilt" is part of the skeletonization of the liner. Pretty cool.

The pic really is deceiving, the Tilt is actually 1 5/8th inches longer than the Overkill.
