Kershaw Tilt...again.

I cut the end off of a garden hose, opened a box of parts, and split two english muffin's with my Tilt today.

It's a keeper.

Seems as though a lot of people have gotten their Tilts... Hoping I am coming up on Dave's list as I am feeling a little left out! :grumpy:
+1 at least I know im not the only one. I was sure I was in on day 1 or 2 of order pre order .I guess that's just the way the cookie crumbles

#55 should be here Monday.
How has the consistency been on this run?
Also, anyone know how many have been shipped so far?
Or the size of the run?

Thomas, are there parts left over to fix the existing Tilt models? I am pretty neurotic about flipping my knife, probably over 2000 times already. The lock bar has definitely worn a little bit and it locks up a lot later than my other two. It may last for years before I need to send it in, but it will probably have to be sent in eventually.

So, do y'all just make extra parts for replacement, or how does that work? I've never known how they do warranty work on very limited knives. Thanks Thomas. :)

Depends CTS, there are not a lot of parts laying around for LE's. If something happens down the road more than likely there wont be parts for it.

Not sure any knife is built for 300 flips a day. Parts is parts, it's gonna wear...

Hmm, that sucks. What happens in a situation like that? (where there are no parts to fix a knife)

One of my buddies just broke the clip on his Speedform -

Kershaw said they would give him full retail value toward anything they currently make, but they do not have clips for the limited Speedforms.

He loves the knife, so I will attempt to make him a serviceable clip. I thought Kershaw's response was as good as it gets.

best regards -

As I mentioned earlier I really try and stay away from posting anything on Warranty CTS. I trust you understand that each individual warranty situation is unique, I can't say what will happen to any of them with any accuracy.

I understand. Thanks Thomas. :)

The reviews for this have been so overwhelmingly excellent; can't wait to test out the bad-boy for myself. Oh, the wait...

"How has the consistency been on this run?"

"Thomas- What do you mean?"

Just that.

55 came in today. Nice knife! Backed off the blade tension a bit now its smooth as silk.

Also, anyone know how many have been shipped so far?
"Yes"

Well, a number would be nice, thanks.

"Or the size of the run?"

" No"

No idea?

As far as spare parts go, I would like a bearing set if this is going to be improved upon or changed going forward.
And an xtra clip might be nice. It scares me a bit how it snaps when pulled from the front pocket of my Levi's.

Just mentioning it. Not saying either will be a problem, but would be nice knowing there were a few spares out there.

BTW, great knife. 1st Kershaw in 10 yrs. Have been at this a while.......

Still not sure what you mean.

Pretty small run...

I mentioned earlier that additional parts have been cut. When/if/how many will get put together...no idea.

I give more info on this site than most any factory rep. If I'm not specific there is a reason.

Appreciate it. Glad to hear you're happy.
