I had a great time, actually of all the Knob Creeks I've attended this may have been the most fun of all of them. I was not at all disappointed by the selection or anything else.

Honestly if I would have driven a long ways just for the Machine Gun shoot I would have been disappointed, in my opinion they did a lot less shooting there this year than in previous years (ammo is too expensive is my guess)

I live 30 minutes away and didn't go. I own one Busse and that will probably be it (so many toys, so little time), regular production knives (Spydies, etc.) are cheaper on the internet, and the military surplus is fun but I'm not really in the market. The full auto stuff is good, thats for sure. Nothing against it, and I've been many times, but the thrill one gets is probably proportional to the distance you have to drive to get here.

Edit to add: Ken, In my own strange way... I agree (end edit)

I have been reminded by nearly every moderator in this forum that there are young people (boys and girls) that visit our forum. Therefore we... well really me, needs to be cautious about what language I use and which pictures I post because "we" do not want to adversely affect their moral fiber (or I guess fibers if they have more than one moral) So anyway with the children in mind it would be best if the pictures of the knives “available” well.... were pictures of knives actually available. Because well you know I worry about the young ones and that they might get confused, especially with all the scandals on the Right Coast, you know Wall Street and Washington D.C. Because when they go to work on Wall Street in a few years and they put photos of assets in a corporate annual report, or on a balance sheet, I want to know that corporation actually has that asset when I invest.

Anyway, I know these young college girls that would like to get some Busse knives some day; and I wouldn’t want to take them to Knob Creek and have them find out they need to find Garth before the show and give him some kind of secret “hand shake” or “pay dues”, just to get a knife. Heck they could do that here any weekend and I’d give them a knife.:foot:

In any case Jerry should do it for the children and the ones over 18 too; but esspecially for my 401K    and the future of this great country.. but mostly for my 401K:thumbup:

I had an AWESOME time at the Creek! :) Didn't buy a knife, didn't eat any cheesecake, but I knew that going in. Had a GREAT time with the BUSSE family...some old friends & some new!

Tired of hearing about sour grapes... Just my 2-cents worth!!

I had a good time, and I bought 26 knives including a beautiful Arctic white SHBM (though I chipped the coating before I got it home, but that was nobody's fault but my own). They were just different knives than I came looking for (except for the SY Dogfathers).

Here is Skunk about to land with my knives from the creek.

Well, I'm glad to hear that some folks had a great time, because reading this thread and ones like it fairly recently, you'd think that there is some great conspiracy to keep certain folks away from some Busse knives...

Maybe this isn't the thread to post this, but it just seems to me that some folks (and I'm not pointing ANY fingers at anyone here) seem to think that they are entitled to any blade at any time, anywhere. Those who have been around many years probably see this trend better than me. Relatively speaking, I'm still a noob, even after being around for 2+ years. But... I did my homework, read old threads, researched the many ways to score knives, learned what was what, treat those who've been around longer than me with respect, asked questions, & posted answers when I could. I avoid hassling anyone at Busse Combat the day(s) after Ganza's, offerings, and shows about what I got or didn't get, and always show respect to them as well. I never expect to be shown any type of preferential treatment, and when a HOG I ask to proxy for me actually says "yes", I am both humbled and honored by their generosity and willingness to help someone like me. If they say "no", well then no worries, and thanks very much for the consideration. Good manners & common courtesy go far in life.

Is it fair that casinos treat "whales" better than average gamblers?
Is it fair that off duty police and their immediate family may have a better chance of getting out of the occasional speeding ticket than you?
Is it fair that CEO's of failing companies always seem to still land gently with a "golden parachute" compensation package when 'terminated'?
Is it fair that some work more for less while others work less for more?
Or consider this...
Is it fair that good folks get injured or die in combat somewhere far away from their families while we are at home in the States out buying knives and enjoying our freedom??

Basically, life isn't always fair. There's always going to be someone who will beat you to something you want... But what you don't see is that many times you will beat others to what they want too.

In the world of Busse, I try to never forget to be grateful for what I get and to those who help me to get it. Enjoy the knives you got, and keep plugging away at the ones you want. If all your "Grail" knives came that easily, would they then be "Grail" knives? Would you get that same sense of satisfaction when you finally got the ONE that you wanted?? There is a reason that some people collect objects, whether to use them or not... The thrill is in the hunt.

Good Hunting, and remember...

NO REGRETS

Sometimes the weather agrees and sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes there are really desirable blades at the show and sometimes there are few. At times I've seen pictures of the knives that will be there before I arrive and other times I have no idea what's going to be there at all.

The one thing that I know for sure is that I've had a great time every time that I've gone. Regardless of the knives, the guns, the gadgets and the gear, it's the friends that I've met and the friends that I keep that matters most.

And as luck would have it, it's through these friends that I've gotten the best knives, the hard to finds and the deals of a lifetime. I never go to a show with any expectation of what I'll get and I think that's why I'm always so pleased with what I walk away with. Even if I don't have any new knives to show for it, I walk away with having spent time with my friends. And if I happen to grab a knife or two, well, that's cool too.

Dayum, TonyG... NICE HAUL!! ...Pix, dammit!! ;) :D:D ...And do ya have enough table space? :D

Jaxx,

This is why I went in on buying those banks with you and PorkDucci. I need one of those 35-foot board room conference tables
