kirk69

Oh and the next time you tell someone to go fry a Kike you are going to be in a heap of trouble.

That's just not a Christian thing to say Kork69 or is that CO*K69???

I think the term "I'll take it" has been consistently misinterpreted throughout history. For example, I know for a fact that Marie Antoinette was misquoted before her untimely death during the French revolution. She never said "let them eat cake!". What really happened is she was asked by her husband, Big Fat Louis(he was in the Mafia) if she'd like a piece of cake and she said "I'll take it!". She was beheaded or something because of that misunderstanding.

That's a true story.

I don't usually make it a point to stick up for someone who has earned some blowback from Forum members that he's wronged, but other members have taken it too far and enough is enough already. Has it become policy here to beat a dead horse? Dogpile on the rabbit?? Misquote text and jump on a member for that? "Stone" a member repeatedly with insults?? Granted, kirk69 has made some major mistakes on BF.com, but some of you are starting to lose ground on the high road with your choice of words. One or two of you are just plain foaming at the mouth.

This isn't W&C, and I'm still trying to figure out why some of you haven't been handed red cards for the same infraction-able offense that he's received one for. Not even so much as a a yellow card or posted warning for the many insulting comments thrown about in his direction, i.e. "douchbag", "smegma-laden pustule laced infected load of syphylitic ooze", "little puke", etc. Some posts on this thread have gone well beyond exposing a possible bad egg into bullying him with impunity. If he hasn't gotten the point by now, he never will. I hope that he's trying to change his ways. Yet, while you continue to insult him, he will still feel cornered in this thread, reflexively defending himself against the mob mentality that some here are showing instead of moving on and straightening up.

On the other thread about this posted in the Busse sub-forum, I posted about my recent interaction with kirk69...
I was aware of the thread when kirk69 reached out to me over one of my listed knives, but I decided to be cordial and see what transpired...

Although he chose not to buy the knife in question, he never said that he would, nor used the phrase of intent. He asked some questions via email related to the knife and after, he asked a few other questions related to the forum and a sheath maker. He was polite throughout the exchange, and thanked me for my time & patience. I know that he's had a rocky start here on the Forums, but seems to be learning from his experiences, so maybe we should wait, watch & see before continuing to bash him. Turn the other cheek, brothers, and hopefully with some guidance, he will get the way things are done here. Just my $.02, YMMV. :)

I'm not vouching for this member, just suggesting that y'all give it a rest and see if he will try to improve his rep before beating on him some more.

Stay on the high road. Teach, not torture. After all, isn't that why we come here? ...To learn & also to educate, and show by example??

JMHO, YMMV

Well it's not like a mod hasn't been involved in this thread.
I'm guessing your not so humble, mileage challenged opinion might just be yours alone.

 Kirk has been flogged enough, maybe excessively yes.

Nobody confiscated my money order huh?Like I said ask tapedeck74,bought it off him through this forum, look at the post.

Did you get some kind of notification that your money order was confiscated? Nothing ever gets confiscated by Canada Customs without them sending notification of why it was confiscated.

Well stated JAXX.

I dealt with the kid and had a good deal, but I could tell right away he was headed for a wreak, by all his irratic post. I should have jumped in and gave him some advice on forum etiquette. I recall a certain member here that had been through some rough times and have been shown some grace to redeem himself.
I agree with JAXX on this one.

Nobody confiscated my money order huh?Like I said ask tapedeck74,bought it off him through this forum, look at the post. And cold one why don't you write a book man,it would be faster. For you to make all these charactarization's about me,without ever meeting me,with the little contact we had is ridiculous dude.I'm sorry to all those I said I'll take it to,and didn't,I'm just inexperienced at this:foot:.I meant no harm, and it's not gonna happen again. That apology doesn't extend to all those hear, that i've had no dealing's with, that like throwing out names like tool, cheat liar, etc. Those people can go fly a kite or something.

a little advice, for what its worth,

since almost any deal mon this forum is gonna involve trust since we prrobably will never actually see one another and we routinely ship items worth a lotta money to one another thus a degree of trust must exist between us or the whole thing will stop working sooner or later, if ya dont trust each other most folks (i know i would) would find some other way to do 'biz or would cease doing it altogether, so ones word is worth a great deal on this forum (as it is in life in general) so when ya dont live up to your word it really can piss folks off, now if something happens and you have to back out of one deal, most wont get too upset, but when ya show a pattern of not living up to your word ya are gonna have problems on this forum (and in life in general).

imho i think a good apology is in order to the person who ya were in this deal with (IIRC ya have done this) & then if i were you i wopuld offer an apology to the rest of the forum, state ya understand why they would be upset, state (and mean with your heart) that ya will start living up to your word, and then do it.

argueing about x, y & z and why a,b & c are to blame isnt gonna accomplish anything at all imho, and will probably just lead to more problems as you start to lose your temper/etc.

so just apologise, mean it, and start living up to your word & before long folks will forgive/forget.

or just keep argueing about everything and ya will either get banned or have such a bad rep ya might as well be banned.

choice is yours bud,

... somebody is IRAte ...

:p

I am Sorry Esav.......................:(:o

It just frosts me when someone says "I'll take it" and then backs out. If something happened to make it impossible to continue a deal I am perfectly OK with that but to back out just because you changed your mind or found another deal really really REALLY bothers me.

I remember a deal for a Socom DA that was exactly the knife I wanted desperately and would have sold my soul for. I snoozed and was heart broken to discover the "I'll take it I posted was about one minute too late. So like a good knifeknut I bought another knife. Then later that evening I learn that the marooooon that uttered the first "I'll take it" changed his mind and now I was broke. Of course I could have told the guy I posted the very first "I'll take it" to that I was a huge scumbag and changed my mind and now reneged to buy the Socom but I am not a scumbag................................................................................

Again, sorry for the outbursts........................

It's very simple

JMHO, YMMV

Just my humble opinion, your mileage may vary.

Leadfoot

I understand all that Leadfoot........
But I can neither agree or disagree because I do not understand what you are saying .

I simply would like to know what a "mileage challenged opinion" is.

I don't understand and would like to. I am confused as to what it means.........

Can you help me out? :)

Thanks in advance,

Enough already. This thread is not about you two. End the hijack.

Amusing... Kirk decided to leave me feedback on iTrader now. Guess he didn't like getting a negative for backing out of a deal and then getting abusive. I don't doubt the mods will deal with that though. :p

I was with others in that he'd seen enough abuse but that is WEAK. What a petty little prick.
