Knife addiction

5.56 I knew you would come through ! You are addicted to this thread. The reason I started it was to distract me from buying. Kinda like therapy for myself. Thanks buddy for keeping it goin !

Anyone who owns more than 2 knives is an addict;)

Let's face it, if you have a nice fixed blade and a folder, you really don't need anything else.

And if you own a multi-tool and still feel the need to have extra knives around, you are an addict too.

Remember, the majority of the population manages to survive everyday without even carrying knives.

I'm not in denial, my name is Rob and I am a knife addict

Wow! I guess that means everyone I know is a blade junky including me… That’s cool though

Hi, my name is John and I am addicted to knives, it has been two and a half week since my last fix…
It was a rather cool day in Oct and I was surfing the web and saw it. That’s when the headaches and shakes came on, I was knifing, I had to buy it .. RC-4.…

i only think you have gone overboard when you have to build a addition to your house dubbed the "knife room" for all of your knives and have it sealed up tighter than a bank with a $30,000 security system!

I have a gun room, but it's not a 30,000 dollar addition and their are knives and gear in it, does that count?

Well I will most likely be selling some guns soon to feed my knife habit.

I have around 30 guns and let's face it, that is way more than one man needs

On the chopping block will most likely be a 1950 Russian SKS from Tula arsenal. I really want a Busse Battle Mistress and they are actually pretty much equal in value.

In this case, the knife rules over the gun:thumbup:

A Busse is actually at the top of my list as well, but like you, would probably have to sell a gun to acquire one… Your absolutely correct about only needing a certain amount of guns My gun purchasing days are done for now, last purchase I made was an XD 9 right when they came out. I used to have around 30 myself but have been able to trim it down to about 20. Mostly AR15, Ak's and Misc Bolt actions and handguns,...

Browning Ice Storm, Benchmade pika (1), Benchmade NRA 12205, Kershaw Skyline.

I have bought all of these over the course of this semester. Now, obviously, none of these are expensive by any stretch of the imagination, but I am on a college budget, so they represent quite a bit of delicious Bulleit Bourbon that had to remain lonely in the package store.

I also bought a mini-cyclone as a Christmas present for my dad when I picked up the Skyline. The more I think about it though, the mini-Cyclone is kinda bulky and heavy.... and I really think my dad would like a smaller knife better..... my brother really doesn't carry a knife, in fact the only person who would probably enjoy carrying a knife that beastly (for something labeled "mini") is ..... me.

Well, there is no use fighting cold hard logic, looks like its back to the drawing board for Christmas presents....I should probably check Ebay real quick though, just to make sure there aren't any killer knife deals being given away.....

GTSCOTTY that is very kind of you to share your addiction with others especially your Father. He must be a lover of the blade himself. I always get my Dad a blade for Christmas too. Last time a got him a FRENCH LAGUIOLE with a cork screw and blade. He likes his wine and cheese. Needless to say he really liked it. Lets get to 100 my Blade of Brothers ! Keep em commin !

Okies, further development of my addiction...Orderd and paid for a Vic SAK, picked it up from the post office, carried it for 10 min's and thought i'd like something smaller to rotate with, Bid on a Queen Country Cousin in D2...won it, paid...then thought I couldnt wait, so ordered an EMERSON mini commander ...which wont be here for 2 weeks...

I just bought a Spyderco Ladybug with Orange FRN for my 5 year old daughter.

Like any responsible parent should do, I will teach her knife and gun safety.

She can only handle the knife with me around and I keep it locked in my knife case.

I remember my first knife when I was in the cub scouts, I guess my addiction started when I was around 8 years old:D

For insurance purposes it's a good idea to list everything you have and list them alphabetically. Take pictures of your collection and what you paid for each one. Keep the information in a fire proof safe or a safety deposit box with your other important papers. Protect your investments and addictions.

Finally went out and bought the wife a B-Day present...... and you know.....it made me feel less "guilty". Of course it was OK for me to buy that kershaw model 0300 on the way home. Hell I even remembered her B-Day!!!! This is my 5th meeting and they are beginning to work! Thank you Brothers.

Lol, sorry man i think your mistaking the purpose of this thread. It is meant to help the addiction, not justify it :D But me, i dont want my addiction helped, i like my addiction. Oh and thanks guys for the tips on shaving leg hair instead of arm.

This thread has kept me occupied for the past couple of weeks. But all the while I had been eye'n up this Special Edition Sasquatch. I kept goin back to it over and over again. Click'n on the pictures over and over again thinking the pictures would get bigger to get a closer look. I couldn't understand why it had not sold yet. Then I thought this is supposed to be mine that's why know one put dibs on it. Then came those 3 words, I'LL TAKE IT ! Sold to the guy in the black suit! Ha HA.
