There was a thread in traditional knives forums discussing how many who post here refuse to use slipjoints. Might wanna take a peek.
My list.
-Tantos
-Very thick bladed folders (A 110 is about as thick as I go, even that seems like a lot)
-SAK knock-offs
-Combo edge folders with short blades (NO CE Delicas for me)
-Folders with no metal liners and the FRN handles are easily bendable. Hate that feeling, though many companies can pull off a good liner-less folder that I'll buy.
-I don't see myself spending over 100$ for a folder unless I design myself a custom. Sorry, but I don't see anything in that price range that offers THAT much more function to things I can get for 30$.
-A knife that I won't use or don't intend to use. Users are the only thing in my collection and I think it's pretty sad we even have a colloquial set of terms to seperate working knives from non-working knives. The only knives I see reason to make safe queens are ones with extremely high sentimental value, even those I'd like to take out here and there.
-Full Size LM type multitools (There might be a time later in life I have a use for them, but as it stands I'll take a 3 or 4 layer SAK to them anyday)
-Fixed blades with full guards
-Double edged blades
-Liner Lock knives where the liner is thin enough to rest between the tang and the handle. I consider this one of the most illogical things done in modern knife manufacturing and presents an obvious safety hazard should the liner move over that far)
-Cold Steel (Seem to have some good knives, but I don't like their marketing focus so I choose to not support them)
-Guthooks
-Paraframe type of handles
-Any knife available in plain 440C or similar with a version in S30V or similar for double the price. Gimme the 440C please.
-SOG, Dark Ops and a few others (Companies that have no knives that appeal to me based on photos and descriptions I've seen)
-Blood grooves
Long enough, I'll probably think of more later.
