Let's see your Shadetree

Thanks for posting these up. The Electric Orange is also my favorite Shadetree material. Hopefully we will see more in the future.

He has been on the search for it but can't find the material anymore to make it.

I believe Fod would take an order for some still. They were kind enough to make me a half sheet last year. Allen made two killer Georgia Travelers with it. I still have a small amount left for my search of a slip joint maker that is taking custom orders.

We will have to wait for him to weigh in but I just asked about it and was told he didn't have enough so I had him make me a few others. Will try to post a picture when they come in.

I was originally going to post these photos in the “Two for Tuesday” thread, but we are overdue for a bump in the Shadetree thread.

Here is the somewhat rare Electric Orange burlap on a Duke and Camp Knife.

I hope this brightens your winter day a little.

Phil

Wow! Those are spectacular Phil!!!

Still can't find any material to make electric orange, but stay tuned for some electric plum. . .don't know if Andy will get any though.

Great additions to the thread. That black bolster/electric orange Camp Knife is something else. Hope more configurations like that become available in the future.

Posted these in the Fiddlebacks on the rocks thread.
Looks like they would fit in here too.

Pistonsandgears,

Those two Hiking Buddies fit just fine in this thread. I mostly prefer black pins, but that Evergreen and natural combo looks very nice to me.

Dogwood Dan,

Thanks for posting those photos of your Hawkins model with the new Starry Night burlap. That turned out very nice indeed with the contrasting forge finish to make the colors really pop.

I just received a shipment from Shadetree last week (see below) including a piece of that Starry Night burlap along with a few sets of some of their other new colors (i.e. "Tangerine" and "Electric Plum.") I think that the Electric Plum will be very cool looking and popular too on finished knives.

I'm liking that tangerine burlap a lot. Glued up with a black bolster would be real nice.

Curious to what projects you have planned with your burlap blocks Phil. That starry night sample would be interesting on a larger project where you can keep more of the blue showing.

That tangerine is awesome!!

I should say, at no point did I ever ask for it to be an exclusive production or even hint at those hopes. I have absolutely no qualms with doing business with them again and would recommend them wholeheartedly to anyone who asks. Amazing product, amazing results, and Dylan went out of his way to accommodate my crazy schedule and fit me into his. Stand up folks who consistently deliver stand up product.

No too much shadetree in my collection these days, but this one has some personality ;)

I need to stop taking Mistwalker-esque macro shots while hiking. The knife never LOOKED dirty when I was shooting...
