I heard you get a free knife! But it’s a 97...in Mardi Gras.
Seems fitting that I pass this guy along. A 2013 forum knife, its was the PPP for the 13 frame. It's a light user that I just dont find myself carrying anymore.
Which is:
Congrats @draggat
I remember it being a massive run of crown lifter and beer scouts if I'm not mistaken.Thank you, I didn't recall how many.. that's more than I thought so I looked it up:
Charred Oak 243
Beer Barrel Oak 672

I resemble that remark, lol. I've had a lady leg knife on my desk for 30+ years.Could be worse there's always the Lady's Leg to steer clear of, any scales
This is the one that got me hooked.
It's a lot
i was thinking, “ man I don’t have a lady leg knife”, lol.I resemble that remark, lol. I've had a lady leg knife on my desk for 30+ years.

Nope. HahahaBut, does it ever leave the desk ??
That was very generous! What a cool thing to do. Three Cheers and huzzah for the OP!Seems fitting that I pass this guy along. A 2013 forum knife, its was the PPP for the 13 frame. It's a light user that I just dont find myself carrying anymore.

There has been quite a bit of discussion about the Beer Scout. I believe, and hope, that we will see it again in all but name. The only problem was the use of the word “Scout.” GEC has every right to make the very same knife with a different name, and why wouldn’t they? It is extremely popular, and they often revisit the 15 pattern.
Someone mentioned the Charred Oak is their favorite. It certainly is mine. If you remember, they surprised us with the Charred Oak at the very end of the run. I called GEC to try to get one. Christine Tucker answered the phone. After saying I could have one, she asked which serial number I would like. Numbers 1 and 2 were reserved for the factory so I took number 3! Things were much easier back then! I sure miss Chris and think of her often. I hope she is okay. Does anyone know how she is doing?
I sure hope they run these again, same everything except a long slender clip and small wharnecliffe secondary, pile and mark side nail nicks.
