Lost in the woods - Pick one of these knives!

The Farmer without question. Ideally the para and the farmer, but choosing only 1 the Farmer has too much utility. I carry several knives in the woods and for EDC and the farmer gets the most actual use. The 110 I would not carry there has been too many advances for me to justify buying a 110.

1.Vic Farmer- Most useful tools for the woods.
2.Buck 110- I like the way the Buck 110 feels in my hand and I know for fact it is robust.
3.Spyderco Paramilitary- I don't have one, nor do I think low of Spydies. I just like the other options more.

(in that order)

The 110 is a no brainer when it comes to spending time in the woods. Any one who has truly spent time using their equipment where cleaning and some TLC is not an option, can vouch for the strengths of the 110. It's an American classic for a reason.

All it takes is pocket lint to easily defeat the 110's lock! Believe me, I know. Can't say the same for the Farmer or the Para.

This is a changed vote: Farmer, for the saw. Also, you just might find a bottle or can that needs opened.

The Farmer , the awl and saw , plus ease of sharpening would decide the case .

Current tally:
Paramilitary - 8 (10%)
Buck 110 - 17 (22%)
Vic Farmer - 53 (68%)

Perhaps it's time for Victorinox to change the Farmer's name to the Woodsman. :D

I would probably choose the paramilitary. I have cut branches with it before and it worked great. It just feels good in my hand.

I'm surprised the Para didn't do better. Even Spyderco calls it a "mid-sized survival knife". It's still one of my favorites!

Farmer for me, I believe I could get buy nicely with only that knife.

Definitely the Farmer. The SAK saw, albeit small, is sooo useful...bow drill set, trap parts, etc., it really beats hacking away at stuff with the 110 (which I think is one of the best folders ever). After getting turned on to the SAK Rucksak through Ron Hood's videos, I would hate to be without in the woods.
