Loveless Style Drop Point Hunters with Black Liners and Olive Canvas Micarta Handles

The work certainly looks great and that's all I'm gonna say about that:D

Good luck to all those involved:)

Crap! this is my fault for bumping this thread up from page 4. Maybe someone from TN can go down to Gilbert's house and take him a large triple shot Cappuccino and be his gofer for the day and get the shop straightened up and the orders organized and such.

When I was laid up that would have been a big help to me.

Anyone get theirs yet? I'm anxious to see how these perform! Looks like a sweet knife!

Not me.

I did get an weird E-mail on 8-29-08 stating that I was sent (past tense) a package on 9-2-08. (which was still 4 days in the future?) I though it was a typo and that it meant I would receive the package in 4 days, on 9-2-08.

However, so far, nothing.

Edit---Clicked on Mr. Norfleet's screen name + left feedback of my/this transaction.

I keep re-reading the original sale post thinking I must have missed something. I was under the impression that six of these knives were completed and ready to go out the door to six lucky buyers In MAY 2008. I have a Pay pal receipt dated 3 June 2008 as my proof of payment and I have not received the knife yet. I've read numerous updates and promises on this thread from Mr Norfleet. I am a very patient and understanding guy - but I HATE BEING LIED TO. That's all I have to say about things at this point.

I recieved the same shipping email as Tony_A. This is the second I've recieved. The first was on 7/12 saying that a package had shipped on 7/16. Nothing so far.

I emailed Mr. Norfleet last week and he replied to me indicating that he had completed all of the knives and was going to be shipping them on Saturday (yesterday).

From the messages that I exchanged previously with him, I understood that the knives themselves were ready, but it's the sheaths that were not yet done. That, plus his ongoing health issues delayed what normally would have been a reasonably straightforward transaction.

At least that's what I hope is going on.

-C.

At a $150 These are a deal, even if you have to wait for a while to get 'em.

Glad everything is working out for the best.

email me if you make any more of these

Mine came today.

The sheath is left-handed, as I requested :)

(sorry for the poor picture quality---the handles are more olive colored in person)

I have 4 of Gil's knives that I have bought over the last 3 years. I had the same thing happen with the long delivery time in July of '06. I eventually got my knife and bought another one after that. The quality is worth the wait. Gil just gets rattled about the deliveries when he's laid up.

Jeremy, thanks for the offer to help, I just may take you up on that before long. I am doing pretty well on catching up but the future has a lot of orders and thanks to this thread I have had many more orders come in, more than I would have imagined.

Yep, it's a pretty neat knife. Clean and excellent craftsmanship. I am glad I stuck it out and waited for you to get things right in your life. It is what is most important afterall. Thank-you, Gilbert, for a great product. You came through in the end and it was worth the wait. Peace, John

I recieved mine today. It is a very well made knife and has good feel to it. Mainly I'm glad to see this saga come to a conclusion. Had I been told the time frame up front there would have never been a problem.
Thanks, JS
