If that were indeed the case he never would have made knives out of 420. After all, he did attack other makers for using that steel.

The reason that Lynn takes all the shots that he does is that he likes to front and center in everything he does. He obviously has a huge ego. He may well be a very good person, but many times he comes off as a jerk. If he is going to do the things he does, and put the things on his website that he does, he is going to be open to the criticism of people that don't like his antics. That's the bad part of wanting to be so much in the public eye. It's just something he is going to have to live with. You and other can defend him, but that isn't going to stop the attacks.

Mick Strider constantly comes in for ferocious criticism here -- and comes here himself to answer it. We never hear from LT. To us he's like a cartoon character, a video game role-player.
You don't spend much time noticing how many people here like his knives. How many of us recommend them without commenting on his character. You come here to accentuate the negative, -- so don't wonder when negatives are all we associate with you, and with your friend.

No, I don't really care. In my opinion, all that ever went on there was show-n-tell and lots of back-patting, which loses its luster a couple of days in. Much like some people here, they are afraid of open-minded thought processes and almost always resort to childish name-calling.
Then when the tables are turned, all Hell breaks loose and everyone gets their panties bunched up in a knot.
You can go on all day calling me a "noob" or a "troll" or criticizing my use of Capitalization.
I Use Capitals the way I Want to use them, and thats to give my words a little more Punch when I want to. (...deal with it.)
I realize that in your Eyes my opinions are Wrong and your opinions are always right... and in that aspect, there isn't much that anyone can say that would be construed with any sort of Realism.
Fact of the matter is... All these knife companies are just out to get our Money. If any one of these guys does anything to shine a little brighter in the knife community or in the public eye, its just for the Almighty Dollar.
Lynn Thompson makes crazy videos.
Sal Glesser produces niches and then fills them, I.E. a Crayola inspired assortment of FRN handles on the same knife so that he can sell it over and over again.
Mick Stryder Lies... Etc. Etc. Etc.
Its all for money.
Arguing with you guys is useless because most of you are either in charge here or long time buddies with the guys who Are in charge here.

for me this is the bottom line.
Mick Strider. Love him or hate him..I do not care. Liar or not, I don't care..
But no one deserves to be bashed on a company website regardless of who you are or what your past is.
Strider knives whether you like them or not is a successful knife company with a loyal following. Not my Genre but for others it is what they enjoy about knife collecting. If that makes them happy. I'm happy for them.
But sir. No one deserves to be treated in a public setting such as what LT did to Strider on a public company website. What would motivate a person to do this? well I will give you the answer. Money, LT obviously was/is losing market share of the mall ninja market from CS to Strider. It always equates down to cold hard cash. So all of LT B.S. about needing to set the record straight about Mick's past blah blah blah..is just crap. What it really is one over inflated, Narcissistic meat head losing market share to another upstart company and it is always so much easier to play the " Holy Roller" and claim innocence but for the good of all I must share this information. B.S.
Regardless of what you think of Strider as a person he is still a human being and does not deserve to be humiliated in such a manner. No one does. LT can take full responsibility for taking the production knife industry and dragging it to a new record low in terms of sleaze tactics.
Again it amazes me how butthurt people get when LT in my opinion is only reaping the harvest of the seeds he has sown. You sow good seeds you reap a good harvest. You sow anger, malice, and slander..you reap the same.
Bottom line..this has everything to do with money and nothing to do with integrity. LT has shown that he is willing to walk were others have feared to tread in terms of sleaze all for the almighty dollar.
The Chinese curse says it best..."May he live in interesting times"
In a world full of meanness, cruelty, and sadness what LT did does not make this world a better place...he deserves the harvest he sows. I for one will never buy another CS product EVER...I wont take one on trade..I do not want them in my house...The CS product line stands for something I find repugnant.

I hunt, practice martial arts, and run my own company (timber and mining). I happen to like his products (most of them). I have several of his products, and they get used daily. Good value for the money.
what i dont like is his bloated swelled head ego and wild claims and hyped up "gotta have weapons stuck in flowerpots, in the shower, in the yard, cuz the world is coming to get you" stance....... its mall ninja crap. He comes across as a puffy chested redfaced salesman trying to sell snakeoil....
