Ranger school is and always has been a small unit LEADERSHIP school. I was just wondering how long you had as a "cherry" before they sent you. When I was atending a military junior college back in the stone age, the guys in my class were the first ROTC class that was not permitted to go to Ranger school in lieu of Advanced Camp. The stated reason was that the previous year, 3 guys had goe and only one had passed. This was not a unique situation. The other two had to go to advanced camp the summer after they should have been comissioned. What I had read about the "cherries" indicated that the logic was the same. I do not deny that you get to wear the unit scroll and the hat (another thing that pisses me off........everyone in the Army wearing the black beanie) and catch grief for being a cherry. I also know that cherries are doing allof the heavy lifting like the guys who already have their tab.

I submit!!!!!! Mickey Ray Burger did do it, he passed the 3 week Ranger in Processing class and then did serve for a few weeks in the Rangers.....but then what?

Honestly,I don't care! My point in this thread was only stating that when you complete RIP and are assigned to the Regiment you ARE a RANGER.Even if you DON'T have a RANGER TAB.

You people have the numbers.call and find out...

I'm just a lowly ex-Reservist and even I am offended. I am more offended on behalf of my late grandfather, who served with General Pershing in Mexico, was the youngest major in the army in WW1 and served on General McArthur's staff in WW2. I am also offended on behalf of my uncle who, as an 18-19 yr old, flew B-25's in the Pacific. And my great uncle who won the DSC. And my dad who was in the Army in the late 50's and ACTUALLY did Spec Ops missions in a couple of places that we never were. This my sound like sentimental bluster to some, but not to a lot of folks who were in, regardless of how they served. Guys who do what Strider did are, at best, considered wannabe jokes by most soldiers. In this case, making money from soldiers off of his lies just adds insult to injury.

For those not in the know, folks only get called usual suspects cuz the cops know where to pick up their regular 'tards.

No Federal prohibition against convicted felons owning knives. State law varies, but typically there are no restrictions unless: 1.) Felon is currently under Court supervision (probation/parole) as part of his sentence, or 2.) Knife in question is specifically prohibited under State law as a "deadly weapon" (i.e., dagger, dirk, Bowie knife, switchblade, etc.). Felons under Court supervision typically may carry a knife with a blade under 3" in length.
 
I can sniff a poser out from a mile away. I'm a Marine, nothing too high speed but if we were caught or observed, we were mistaken for those that are HSLD. I have many good friends who are Scout Snipers, and Rangers (tabbed with scrolls). To that one Ranger here who is so adamantly disgusted with Mick I say this. Given the opportunity, you should meet Mick and see for yourself. Hell fuckin coin him for all I care. Both Mick and Duane are men. They have both served. I have had the honor of meeting them years ago while they were sharing shop space with SOE, and I envy the next time I get to see them. They are good men. Posers cannot live and much less exist in a world where they are continually surrounded by active duty shooters. The last time I got to speak face to face with Mick, we were surrounded by men who are what the geeks like to call Elite, and avid mil readers call Operators and Snake Eaters. These guys can get "bro" shit from anyone in the industry but they choose to stand with Mick in public. It's this kind of attention that drives the competition rabid with envy. Why does this happen? Are our current Tier 1 and Tier 2 assets so gullible that they are duped by a Shitbag that got booted out of the Army? I think not. In fact, I know thats not the case. If Mick were the perp that you paint him to be he wouldn't be allowed anywhere near the Ranger Rendezvous every year (Ask Eric Haney, it sucks to be a PNG) They are both welcome at the Sniper Symposeum and Scout Sniper School Graduations. Posers don't get that honor.

For those questioning Duane's service... Militarydotcom? ARE YOU FUGGIN KIDDING ME? Try the ScoutSniperAssociation. Duane is a Marine. He is a Hog (thats school trained Sniper for you militerates) He is also a Police Officer (anyone at SHOT 06 could have seen his badge).

These two men are Quiet Professionals, in every sense. Now here comes the snotstorm having said that. They aren't the ones out there spouting dribble about themselves. Others have been regurgitating stories about them over the years that have clouded the issue. But it's on Mick to fix it all, right? Well he has. It's not up to him to go to everyone else's internet abode to suck toes and make sure everyone gets their internet feathers fixed. If you want to know, ask Mick. Don't go about spray painting this crap all over the internet walls like a bunch of soccer mom's and expect to get cordial response. Especially when those driving the assault have ulterior motives for monetary gain. These turds are just trying to kill a competitors business because they cannot compete in the market place.

The problem is, mindless following is considered a virtue there. This explains a lot. The "leaders" are watching everything inside and outside of their forum - even here. Keep that in mind when you wonder about some weird and completely irrational posts here. Good behaviour is being rewarded with reputation points and a higher rank. They don't call it ranks, but that's exactly what it is.

Adolescent fuck ups??? The carjacking was AFTER he went in the service. The carjacking was AFTER he 'became' a Ranger. The carjacking was his way of 'honoring' the Regiment code?!? Leading the way? Convicts are the type of people our finest and best should associate with, and be associated with? No wonder our military is so f'd up, and here I thought it was civilian leadership not listening....
 
Just for a simple man like myself, what does "High speed, low drag mean"?
I get the gist that it means high performance but it is a strange term.
