Have been staying out of this fray as much as possible, more than a few telephone calls today, specifically about this thread.

Have met Mick a few times, and like him, he does have an excellent sense of humor.

Am still alarmed by accusations of glory in service not deserved. No, have not embellished to this degree since age 14, and still feel bad about it. Had not done anything interesting, and really was not that interesting of a person. That has changed, hope it changes for all adults.

Allan, I know where you are coming from, and I have family, too. I have met great people on these forums. ptgdvc, Danbo, Kevin Jones, Joss, RAN.....these are all people that are welcome in my home, I would not have met them if it were not for these forums.

You are missing some of the best moments in life by not having some trust and faith concerning these areas.

Sometimes you get burned, but if you are smart, that does not happen very often.

Seriously the topic isn't so much about the car jacking. That is not disputed. He did it, paid his time and his debt to society for that. That should be done with.

The issues Spark has are the ones regarding Mick's own words apparently and also questions asked and never answered perhaps never to be answered.

As for the comments about a good ole Mexican knife fight: I don't find it amusing. There are a lot of guys out there angry enough about this. Promoting violence even as a pun is very risky territory. If anyone started to go to blows at a show like that I can just bet Mick and Duane would be the first to condemn all of it. Its just my opinion but Mick doesn't deserve that kind of support. If you are going to support the man, either on his forums, or here drawing some of the fire for him do it maturely or leave please. I don't think you do the Strider camp or those that are acting maturely any good at all to bring that attitude with you when supporting him. For that matter the same goes for the Spark supporters.

The questions just got answered. An official organization just contacted me with information on this situation. Apparrently they'd already done the research, it's actually much worse than I thought. They are forwarding me the information they collected under FOIA, which I will post as soon as it arrives.

The documents will speak for themselves. There will be a new entry on POW Network shortly, apparrently.

Thats the thing...I did go back and read the 14 posts and what i come away with is that whoever this guy is, that he likes to write about his life in a true Walter Mitty style.

Going undercover on some sort of dark ops, and needing to get a car by whatever means necessary for your gang, "might" be the way a Walter Mitty writer would talk about getting stoned, then the munchees, and then later waking up in line at the drive up window at White castle in a strange car.....

Not saying thats the truth here, but,,,,well....

What bullshit! Check your fucking history; there were Ranger Battalions long before there was some pissant school. The school was meant to try and pass along Ranger knowledge to the rest of the Army. RIP has nothing whatsoever to do with Ranger School get you facts strait. Ranger school and the Tab are entirely separate from the 75th Ranger regiment. RIP is a three week course to get into the REGT. Serving in the REGT year round is way fucking harder than Ranger School. If you mange to stay in the REGT for a while you will get a shot at Ranger School. Now with current op tempo that is not always possible. You going to tell some tabless enlisted that were at Roberts Ridge or at the Hidatha damn complex that they are not Rangers because they didn’t go to a school.

I'm not going to post something that I can't back up Michelle. As soon as I have this information, that one of the Ranger associations collected PRIOR to my even STARTING this thread, I will be sure to post it.

If you want to make claims about me altering the file, be my guest. I'm sure that your next excuse is that Mick Strider was replaced by a cyborg from the future sent back in time to lie about his past.

What Spark thought is pretty well outlined in this thread. For him to say it's worse than he thought seems pretty cut and dried to me.

Event 1: Spark has thoughts and posts them, in quadruplicate, with documentation.

Event 2: Spark receives new information.

Event 3: Spark concludes that the situation is worse than he thought.

Event 4: Spark promises to post documentation of the new information when he receives it.

Am I missing some essential piece of logic here? :confused:
