Buyer did his half of the transaction, he got you the money. You did not do your half of the transaction, getting him the knife. You owe the man $300 or the knife, period.

I have read every ones views on this. For the person who said not to bring Ebay into it is dead wrong it shows my reputation and my feedback since I am new to blade forums site and only have 5 Positive feedbacks in less than a month. For those of you who doubt my sincerity with what took place you are barking up the wrong tree my friend. I have no reason to collect and sell knives for so many years to all of a sudden throw every thing out the window for on one transaction. I read the rules and i was under the impression that the seller would ask me if they want insurance. I think the rules need to be re written. I have had lots of buyers ask me about insurance. As far as all the comments go I feel that every one on here is a buyer and they are giving a buyers point of view. I am now out my knife and 300.00 so its a huge loss for me. I want to continue to buy and sell on here with a good reputation as I have been building so I will do what I am being bullied into. I think a lot of people need to look into the mirror on this site in general and ask themselves if they are doing the right thing or are they just on here trying to find the next sucker. My 1st sale I got shaken down for 40 ofter the sale. I Have been in contact with my buyer since day one and I will take it from here i consider this matter closed and I don't expect to see any more comments on my integrity or honesty when you don't even know me. Thanks for your time with this matter.

By the way the buyer told me he had a dalton he bought and it never showed up as well what are the odds this keeps happing to this one guy just a thought

eBay would make you pay under these same circumstances and you know that. Heck, you don't even have any proof the knife was ever sent. Next time be more careful and be sure the package is scanned upon acceptance. Plus, buy insurance, especially for high dollar items that you don't want to suffer a loss on if they are lost.

Most of the people here both buy and sell, and want to avoid any appearance of impropriety. Do you have any proof of delivery? If so you are in a good position to defend yourself against your not-so-subtle suggestion that the buyer is scamming you. When I ship I require signature confirmation of delivery; more $$ and annoyance, but it protects me against this kind of situation.
To the buyer, if you used a credit card to get funds to paypal, they will also often issue you a chargeback.
all da best,
rats...
p.s. I'm betting on more comments...; you seem a little defensive to me.

This may be a dumb question but would USPS pay an insurance claim for a item that is prohibited to ship? I thought that it was against the USPS rules to ship automatic knives?

jill jackson i am not going to be called a liar by you and that is what you are doing this does not concern you so go back to what ever it is that you do. I was only using ebay to show the great feedback i have been given over the years I am aware of the rules. please stay out of this going forward I am taking your comments as harassing and personal attack and I am sure this site has rules about that.

Sure it is illegal to ship auto knives by USPS but, they would pay as long as the fact of it being an auto wasn't mentioned in the claim. If it was pointed out then I would doubt they'd pay, or be very happy about it.

I never called you a liar, I was just stating facts, Facts that you don't seem to like, because they don't support your wishes. And you can take my comments as you please, anyone can see you have no facts, to support you. My entire thing about the eBay deal, is they'd make you refund for an item not delivered. So, why act like OMG I've got great feedback on eBay! So what? That has absolutely NOTHING to do with you not getting the knife to the guy in this case, now does it? Furthermore, do you have any proof the knife was ever mailed, by delivery conformation numbers? I understand there is none at all. So, how am I calling you a liar?

O...3,
There is no guarantee that the eBay account you refer to is actually you. Just as there is no guarantee that an individual who claims, without proof, that he sent a package, actually did. Just as there is no guarantee that people on forums will treat you like a special a special and wonderful person.
rats...

Osu8233 -- Tread lightly with your accusations of "bullying". One of the most important points to bear in mind is that the integrity of the process/transaction between seller and buyer is absolutely crucial to the successful continuation of buying/selling/trading on the forum. There's no messin' allowed.

He's just mad he can't get support to only pay the 150 dollars, instead of the full 300. Too bad you won't find that here. Ous8233, you messed up and you need to pay the refund in full and learn a hard lesson of responsibility.

jill jackson just stay out of it i can say all the same things you are saying you have no proof that I did not send it. When you are saying I did not send it you are calling me a liar and if you don't care about my feedback of ebay fine I have been on this site for less than a month sold very little and have 5 positive feedbacks. At this point none of this concerns you so any more posts from you will be considered harassment and I will take the steps necessary to have you removed.

If I was OSU I'd be pissed too. Lost a knife and 300 bones. OUCH. You don't know for sure the if buyer got the package and then said, "I didn't get it." Who knows. I'd contact the post office or just go there with my receipt, if you have it, and tell them you need confirmation that a package was delivered to said buyer in whatever state.

Do you have any DC# showing the knife was ever mailed? I understand you do not, if this is wrong then please show the DC# showing the package accepted. Then we will all see proof you mailed it. I'm not calling you anything, if you think so too bad.:D
(the only point I was making about eBay, was they will make a seller refund, in these exact same cases)

I stated this so as to get an idea of choices or roads for me to go.
When I read what the seller said aboutme, I might be a scammer, I opened a dispute with Paypal.
I never mentioned who the seller was, he was brought in by another poster and then posted himself.
He now has emailed me and asked me not to bring anymore BF members in to this.
No mention of a refund for more than 50%.
Seller did say he feels he is being pressered by BF members.

Step back and think. When you order something that has to be delivered. Who has the responsibility to insure you get the item? (Answer, it is not you nor should you be held responsible if the item is never delivered).

Most here would not doubt that you sent it, but it is the sellers responsibility to get the item in the hands of the buyer. If that does not happen, the buyer is entitled to a full refund.

"Harrassment"?? -- OSU, the longer you wait to take care of this and issue a full refund, the less likely it becomes that you will ever sell another item on this or any other forum. Once google gets ahold of this thread, it will follow you around like a bad case of...well you know. Man up and issue the refund. Then move on.

i have never stated i was not giving a full refund. Steve I have not said one thing about you I think everthing has been directed at me. I sent you an email to keep every one from putting there 2 cents in and we have been using email the whole time. The credit will be on its why I consider this matter closed
