It is my belief that Jill is just offering advice on how to avoid these types of concerns in the future. If you mail a package get a delivery confirmation # and share it with the buyer. PURCHASE insurance if you don't want to self insure. I checked Jill's feedback and noticed that on the last transactions that in her selling, she shipped out buyers packages with insurance. I believe that this should be common practice so if the package does not arrive that you as a seller are covered and can show through tracking that the package was accepted by USPS and follow it to the buyer.

Just as an aside, this is another reason I don't use USPS, their tracking (or at least their normal tracking) stinks. Fedex and UPS are much better, not only do you get step by step tracking, but they also require a signature (and keep a record of it) for insured packages. Yeah, it's a little more expensive.

jill jackson just stay out of it i can say all the same things you are saying you have no proof that I did not send it. When you are saying I did not send it you are calling me a liar and if you don't care about my feedback of ebay fine I have been on this site for less than a month sold very little and have 5 positive feedbacks. At this point none of this concerns you so any more posts from you will be considered harassment and I will take the steps necessary to have you removed.

Wow, buddy.

You've been here how long and you're going to have a long-standing and respected member of the forum removed? Get over yourself.

Let me put things in perspective for you. I've purchased a number of knives, Microtech OTFs included, from members here but I can assure you that not a single one of my future purchases will be from you.

The buyer paid you and did not tell you to forgo insurance. You owe him a knife or his money, end of story.

Sorry dude, it concerns us all when it's posted here. You will just have to suck it up and deal with our valuable opinions.:)
(and that's what happens when you drag your feet and don't keep up with your responsibilities as a seller:o maybe next time you will take them more seriously, we can hope so anyway:thumbup:)

I value Jill's opinion, anyone else?

... I have no reason to collect and sell knives for so many years to all of a sudden throw every thing out the window for on one transaction. I read the rules and i was under the impression that the seller would ask me if they want insurance. I think the rules need to be re written. I have had lots of buyers ask me about insurance. As far as all the comments go I feel that every one on here is a buyer and they are giving a buyers point of view. I am now out my knife and 300.00 so its a huge loss for me. I want to continue to buy and sell on here with a good reputation as I have been building so I will do what I am being bullied into.

You may want to reread the rules and peruse suggested guidelines for a good buying/selling experience here.
If you believe your experience here is enough to suggest rewriting the rules so they meet to your satisfaction, there is a proper subforum for that.

Love the internet bullying line. :D

All your posts @BF, besides this thread, have been in the exchange.
You may want to reread the rules/guidelines/suggestions on posting etiquette in a sales thread and perhaps on a dealer membership...

From a previous sales thread:

"Ha ha ha. Dude, you have alot to learn. If you plan on sticking around the forum and making friends, then don't post any more lowballs and start learning knife values. If you're just shopping for deals you can flip, well then... "

I can make an offer of what ever i want just like you self does not mean you have to take it. it was an incomplete knife and i thought 200 was fare every one has there own opinion. but i do go digging around in all your threads and posting all of your opinions.

As i told the buyer I am will to work this out with him but I am not as he said just going to give him his 300.00 back.

You actually did say that you weren't going to pay him back all of the money. That's why he put in the dispute with Paypal.

Seems that you should take a little more responsibility for the situation you find yourself in.

looks like you are miss reading things. I have agreed to pay the 300.00 in a post already the one from right above is an offer i made on a knife why that being brought up i have no idea every one has there own opinion. the matter will be taken care of with the buyer and paypal at this point and i will help in any way i can.

BladeForums is more than a list of rules. It’s a community of honorable people taking part in a hobby we enjoy.

All we have to go on are the facts presented to us. We can’t judge sincerity or honesty from an internet post.

You can’t prove beyond a reasonable doubt that the knife was shipped. So the burden of proof and responsibility lies with you. You have presented nothing to counter the beliefs stated here.

If anything your immediate hostility and often rambling response raises doubts.

To send out a $300 knife uninsured is fool hardy at best. You really need to include Signature Confirmation on anything over $200 to be able to successfully file an insurance claim.

If you use PayPal to feed your family you need to properly protect your interests and insure everything you ship because you can’t afford to lose use of PayPal.

In all honesty you’ve done yourself a dis-service with your responses. You portray yourself as a victim and have questioned the motivation of members trying to help and even accused the Buyer of trying to scam you.

I hope the Buyer posts receipt of his refund and we can put this behind us.
