Modified Production Knives (traditional only)

Yes,i left the nifebrite and the pivot because i didn't think i could replace it easily.A black fiber spacer and nickel silver and the black and yellow layer g-10.I was concerned about how it would look, but i like it and more importantly ,the customer does.

Just made a little improvement to my #22 Magnum:

I'm gonna carry it tomorrow. I'm thinking of doing a little "true EDC" experiment in school this year/semester. I don't know which knife it will be yet, but this is a candidate.

Reshaped the clip and pen on this 62087.

Here are a couple of my SFO broke tip converts. Something I designed into it thinking of when I had the electricians out. Never knew GEC was planning one then! Not sure they did either at the time but I understand they made at least a limited number of this. Mine is slightly well, I don't know if I say upgraded or just different. My cap lifter screw driver twist tool has domed pivots, a lock on the driver, a half moon recess for the nail nick, a lanyard and a small wire stripper still quite functional for small wires just like those found in radios! First time showing these as I kept it to myself after GEC and Charlie produced one because I didn't want to step on toes.

Anyway, the sheepsfoot is in my pocket and the one in all the videos. I loaned it to my plumber and he broke the tip in the drain on the screw driver. In his defense I had thinned it to an okay serrated edge so it was thinner and easier to break but once it snapped where I put a better poke saw for the electricians I went ahead and gave the EO a try. This just took place due to a screw up I made trying to provide another member his grail.

I felt so bad for him I gave him one of these, the first sheepsfoot one I modded so he can have a pinch hitter anyway until he can find the one he wanted from GEC that I failed to provide. Anyway, the entire process was doable just as I planned cause when the first protos came in the drawings I moved the nail nick where it is on my electricians from where they had it originally in the first models and just so I could pull this off for some of the radio heads in my own family that would think it was a custom SFO or something. Anyway, my main desktop got a bad bug. Had to pull it off line. Norton says its just fine but they are full of it. So these bad pics are all I got. Sorry.

Great mods, Steve!

Here's one I just finished...Before

After...

For this one, I added NS bolsters, micarta covers, and a shield. I used SS pins on the pivot and kept them proud due to the stress that these blades put on the frame.

That is a really great upgrade to a great user. I have something similar I snagged, very unique with plastic handles. They are some beefy spring knives. Any man has to love em!

Fantastic job on that Glenn! Wow, they should make a production version like that. You do a great job on your shield inlays too, they fit like a glove.

Careful, you will find yourself scouring the flea markets for junkers just for the parts...
