Thanks Philllll, I will serve every lady that needs her beer opened. ;)

Not sure if this is the place for this question but here goes anyway.
For those of you who work on traditionals, do you make your own pin spinning tool or is there a place to buy them? How about some pictures of your spinning setup?

Folks we are right out on the edge of Traditional Forum posting turf.
I'm going to suggest that a thread be started in the Maintenance and Tinkering Forum for all the gory detail questions. I'm certain it will be...riveting.

Here's my latest victim. It started out as a 15 with razor blade and nifebrite covers.

I decided to try to add bone slabs.

I wound up trying my hand at bone scratting. Not the greatest job, and I still have a TON to learn, but here's the end result:

Great job Dan - I am going to have to try my hand at some of these mods, since Mark sent me a stiddy.:thumbup::)

I think it is important to mark your work in some way, so that it can be known that the knife has been altered. I know that most of you are doing these for your own use, but somewhere down the line, they might make their way to someone else. It would be bad if someone bought or traded for a modded knife thinking it was original.

I don't have a professional stamp or anything, I just stamp my initials and the year inside the liner. A quick inspection can reveal that marking, and it doesn't take away from the knife.

In which you make me look.

Well, I'll be.

Good thoughts, Glenn, and a nice touch.

Thank you very much, everyone! I still have trouble with my pivot pins ending up being a bit sunken, which confuses me a bit.

Primble, you have no excuse to not get hammering, being the owner of a stiddy! I don't have one, but use a large bench vise for an anvil of sorts. I'm definitely on the lookout for a stiddy.

Awesome work on that gloriously blue radio knife, Glen. It's just fantastic, and I know how proud Sarah is to be the owner of it!!!

Here is a beauty I just got back from Glenn. A Schrade Walden 294 that I picked up in a beautiful, lightly used state. The delrin had unfortunately not aged well and I dont know if it sat in the sunlight of a window or had chemical contact but the shield side was more white than brown and no amount of oil or cleaning could change it.

Sent her off to Glenn for a clean up and some nice bone handles. I think I will call the color orange creamsicle.

Glenn, you truly have an amazing gift my friend! I wish I could do that.:thumbup:

Dan I really like that look on the bone! I have an OCD for symmetry and the lines aren't triggering me off any at all. Looks classy imo.

Glenn did a marvelous job on the old knife. I need to find a before photo.

Now I have a couple more Schrades I'm itching to send up there...the sickness continues.
