I thought they were doing their grinding by hand... no ?

But Hollow grind is not a problem, I do prefer flat but that's my taste.

So here we are... I began working with a pencil than with my cad software then I even used a 3D software.

Here's the result of my all work, I think the important thing in this project is that I manage to respect the sebenza look/soul, the blade profile is just the standard blade inverted as you can see on the picture, the handle is unchanged. I think it came up pretty well.

I ordered one today before reading this thread. Now I feel a bit ashamed because I realized that it is 99% a copycat of oufti's design and he did not get any credit.:(
It would be interesting to know who came up with the idea for this special run, CRK or KnifeArt...
 
Sorry guys, but I'm still not tracking with this (and yes, I read the whole thread). Are you saying that Rodney Connelley stole Oufti's idea and then worked with CRK to get it into production? Who is Rodney Connelley? Did KnifeArt steel the design? Did CRK simply take the idea and run with it without giving credit where it's due? What's the story here?

Its a bummer to have an idea ripped off and to get no credit for it I even worse !!! Was the original idea ever submitted to CRK ??? Perhaps it was seen on here, idea taken, then submitted to CRK and stated as an original idea by them, if so that sucks. If it makes you feel any better, I much prefer the regular profile and I think the original profile with the regular handle style maked this version look even better than the one currently made. But it looks clearly like your idea was ripped because even the screws look like the ones you posted several years ago. The guilty party must live with knowing they stole your idea.
