My experience with Ann_Dem

I ask again,
if anyone has information relating to Vlad or any of his/her aliases, please PM your contact info. This is especially important if you have been robbed. I need documentation such as police reports, insurance claims, or any other pertinent information.

IMHO, ann_dem is Vlad or is working with or for Vlad.

Yet, she claims that her husband's name is . . . . .







There are several important things to remember about Vlad.

First, he, she, or they have stolen well over $100,000 worth of knives from collectors, dealers, and Knifemakers over the last several years.

Second, no matter what stolen goods are sold for, it means profit for the thief. Of course, the more money obtained from sales – the more profitable the thief becomes.

Finally, what better way to dump stolen goods than through the guise of a woman on a predominately male forum? Can you say, "Horn-dog" effect ? Undeniably, drastically reducing the selling price of knives will move the knives quicker. Low prices ?


Finally, it's a well known fact that Vlad the Thief is heavily into Microtech's. Especially OTF's – of the limited, high-end kind.

I will have to check to see if I still have the email with the Husbands name...I was going from memory from a 30 plus day old email. I will get back and verify the name ASAP.

If that's what you believe. . . .that's fine. I don't have time this evening to point out the similarities.



The name thang has the most minute to no bearing on the situation. There is enough proof already. . . . .without your possible misquote.

The only reason that I mentioned it - I thought that it was funny. You quoted a specific name and ann_dem didn't dispute it.
 
I checked and I have deleted email from back then so I can not verify the name...Not deleting email to cover a mistake or help out Ann_Dem in anyway, something I do from time to time.

I am a dealer of other things and delete answered email that was deemed done with every so often.

I went over the knives I bought and they are the same as pictured on the original post...not a factory picture, the Damascus pattern is the same.

I don't have any info nor had I even heard of this Vlad and hadn't heard anything about stolen knives.

Nobody is pointing a finger at the folks that purchased a knife or knives from Vlad / ann_dem.
 
Gig, that was some outstanding investigative work! :thumbup: (It was the low price on the Centofante that originally caught my attention and aroused some suspicion.)

Look in the trash box of your email program. Even though you delete it it's not gone until you empty your trash.

We are no longer trying to prove ann_dem was Vlad Pavlov; we've done that. Now we are looking for info that could be helpful for law enforcement.

since they are probably overseas (i guess i am assuming you, cougar, are in the u.s.), interpol or customs may already have info or a case pending.

If you don't know how to get it touch with him (look nine posts above this one). . . .shoot me an e-mail and we'll work it out.

I just want to voice my admiration for the very nice detective work on GigOne's. Must have taken quite a bit of your own time.
 
724wd is not Vlad Pavlov; he's an innocent newbie.

If you're suspicious of someone please tell me or Bastid or Code3 privately. The last thing we want is a mob trampling the innocent....
