I am still at a loss here. One person has an issue and the board starts a Witch Hunt. Ann_Dem had more happy campers until a bunch of what appears someone did major detailed research to find. It is funny no one else got burned by Ann_Dem or had all/dug up all the lists to compare with this so called Vlad.

Again nothing has/had been mentioned about this Vlad until now......Why no big sticky post with a warning about stolen knives, CC Fraud or collectors posting about stolen items all over the place.

I have a hard time condemning someone that had a great track record, I dealt with to the tune of $1000.00 and all the evidence comes from one person or source.

I for one know how easy it is to cut, copy and paste emails and photoshop documents/pictures to make them read the way one wants.

I mean no disrespect to members here but Ann_Dem was also a member here in good standing and had never hurt anyone, conned anyone or stolen anyone's money....You bought something and you got it.

I guess someone will come up with evidence that I am in with Vlad, the infamous Ann_Dem tying me into to some knife scam next to get me banned.

I would hate to see what a good attorney is the US could do with this post and who would be paying in the long run.

A lot of personal opinions have been posted, one person and only person came up with all the evidence....Pretty convient. This could open up a mess for the Owner/Owners of BF.com plus their knife store, Admin, Staff and even the people that have posted.

Just becuase one person had an issue and another person came up with all the dirt would lead me to think someone was getting rail roaded to make Peter look good.

Just my opinion.

Karsten, remove the wool from in front of your eyes. I have seen the threads on the Russian forums where Vlad posted the photos of those knives. I can guaranty that there was no photoshopping of images, or editing of emails. That is not something that Gig would do.

There have been warnings about Vlad Pavlov on this forum for a long time. Take the time to look and you will find them. Just put Vlad in the search engine and you will get plenty of info.

If for some reason you want to believe that ann_dem is some falsely accused innocent, then by all means, believe what you will. There are many of us here that are willing to believe the huge preponderance of evidence that points the other way.

One thing I would not do is start making statements that suggest that Gig may have photoshopped images, or edited things. That is definitely the wrong path to take around these parts.
 
Karsten, read Store Owners & Sellers Beware for details on Vlad Pavlov's thefts. He used the ann_dem identity to dispose of some of the stolen goods; he uses other identities to do the stealing.

You will see some posts from Pavlov himself in that thread....

There are many sources provided in the posts that I made.

I do not have the ability to edit forum posts on any web site.

None of the images that I provided were edited. My posts are there and the links to the other web sites are still there - unless ann_dem / Vlad pulled them down.

You showed your blindness when you fell on your sword with your "those scales don't match" and immediately edited your post when you discovered that they did.

I haven't posted here before, because I had nothing to add.

Gig, good catch.

I know some of the people ripped off by Vlad, good people, and I have tried to spread word when items appeared.

As another thought, and this is my opinion, think of a person that has stolen a large number of knives, now they set up an alias, and sell the lot (at least the factory ones, the customs are a little too easy to recognize, see the effort to hide one of the daggers origins in the threads linked above). Now, the alias has sold off the "collection" and 6mo later, a change of fate allows them to re-build the "collection". You now have an alias that has a good reputation in some knife communities. Use that reputation to steal another load of knives. Pop up in 6 mo to a year as another "collector" in financial trouble selling off the collection to get fast cash. Wash, rinse, repeat.

This is just my opinion, but would seem to be the best way to keep a scam going. You can also use the reputation gained in one spot across the web to show what an upstanding individual you are. For that reason, it would probably be good to add a post to the positive feedback pointing to this one.

Me thinks you protest too much. No matter how much you want it to be otherwise, the knives you purchased from ann_dem are stolen property. You can be in self denial all you want, that won't change the facts.
 
Busted. Bless you Gig. Let 'em dangle. Let the long arm of BF transfer to the proper authorities & perhaps these shitbags will see jailtime- better yet some "justice" from some in the community.
Now if we could just get lucky enough to find Ken Onion's lost knives...
Now there are some necks that need stretching...

Vlad has stolen a lot of knives, OK but I don't understand that his victims don't recognize some of their properties.At least some of such knives should be identified.
