New Buck 110 LT

I received mine today. No play side ways or up and down. Lockup is tight. No complaints for intended use. Is it my imagination-the blade looks thinner to me than the wood and brass 110?

Mine arrived yesterday. I like the light weight and the texture on the handle. This will be great for fishing or work in the rain. It seems tough, mine locks up solid. Someone mentioned bear trap, yep it's quite a sound when it opens and it really does "jump" open. No up/down or side/side play. I hope it stays that way. I guess if gets loose, I will just buy a new one (i.e. Bantam).

Arrived yesterday from Knife Center. Very light. Strong snap and lock up.
Sheath seems to be same as Cordura sheath for the regular 110 but no made in Mexico tag.
Now it will be a conundrum about which to carry each day. Regular 110,110 Alum. lightweight, or the 110 LT.
Thanks Buck for so many choices.

You guys who got it already, mind throwing up a few photos?

I think the pure utilitarianism of this knife makes it a winner. The 110 blade in a light weight handle all for a great price.

and mine has arrived. it is light alright. going to need to get used to that.

since others suggested that theirs was slightly thinner, i took a look at mine. i don’t notice a difference. same thing with blade thickness. seems the same to me. and mine also locks up tight.

the only difference i could tell was that the LT’s blade was slightly shorter. maybe 1/8”. i certainly don’t mind. the only negative i found was the centering. mine is almost touching the scale. but, at $25, it doesn’t bother me.

Mine hit the mailbox about an hour ago, initial out of the box impression is very high. For some reason I had it in my head from the pictures, it was a thin version, but it's the same size as a regular 110, which I prefer. STRONG back spring on mine, and zero play in the blade in any direction. Checkered handle is great, real grip to it.

Already got a kwik tumb on it and will EDC today.

Dear Buck, get started on that blaze orange version!!!! :)
Blaze orange paint? Carve a groove in the handle and inlay with hi viz orange plastic? Obnoxious orange lanyard/fob in the handle? At this price, the modifications could be endless. Until they come up with colors. If Buck doesn't discontinue it, I can see this knife filling tackle boxes and truck consoles for the next century!

When someone puts a clip on the 110LT, please post a picture.

Try this hypothesis: The basis of this knife, and the reason they can sell it so cheap, is that the parts are already in the US supply chain, especially the blades. Buck is going to use the VERY same blade as the standard 110 as anything else would incur an additional cost to retool. The pivot pin and washers are already in supply from their other plastic handled knives. The handle itself was likely molded from a cast made of the 110 to preserve the dimensions (with holes and checkering added, of course). There's so much less special machining going on with this knife than in the EcoLite. Therefore, any variations in bladeand handle length and thickness will only be within the same range of variations found in the standard 110.

I am really liking these. Some different handle colors would be cool. If anyone is willing to subject their knife to this, can you hold the blade in the closed position and flip the handle open like the regular 110? I would imagine it would be tougher due to less handle weight.
