New Buck 110 LT

got a shipping notification from knifecenter!

edit: oh ha. i should really read before i post. ;)

tiguy, that is so close to not even calling that a blemish. As it could easily be removed with 400 grit sandpaper.
Good luck on your project. DM

It was sold to me as a blemish, and the red arrow was applied at Buck? I have many ways to improve the appearance of that rivet head, but replacing the rivet with a screw occurred to me immediately as I like interchangeable blades. The action was a little sticky probably owing to a tight rivet, but that also is an easy fix with a screwed pivot.

A true weight of about 50% more than claimed is a bit of a stretch, especially in a knife sold as a lightweight. Why would the spec be so off?

i got one today. very impressive knife for the price point. i already swapped out my normal 110 sheath carry to this one. still be better with screwed pivot and pocket clip but cant have everything.

Yes. Most of the time buck puts the red arrow on the blem. Most of the time it's slight.

Mine hit the mailbox about an hour ago, initial out of the box impression is very high. For some reason I had it in my head from the pictures, it was a thin version, but it's the same size as a regular 110, which I prefer. STRONG back spring on mine, and zero play in the blade in any direction. Checkered handle is great, real grip to it.

Already got a kwik tumb on it and will EDC today.

Dear Buck, get started on that blaze orange version!!!! :)

My 110 LT came in.

Very light, very inexpensive, but I am disappointed that when locked the blade has up and down play - more like the blade and back spring all pivot several millimeters up and down.

I will probably just keep it, as not worth the trouble to send back, but this knife not as solid at lock up as my new 110 Hunter. My 110 LT has an awful lot of pivot flex up and down when locked. Maybe this is a rare issue?

I also received a 110 Hunter Pro that is going back for a defect on the bolster, that is a different issue. I love the knife, just not this specimen.

My 2017 Buck 110 Hunter original is perfect and is staying.

All three of my 110’s have a 2017 date code on blade.

Got mine in today, so far so good.
A little stiff and with the loudest snap I think I've ever heard on a lock back.
VERY sharp. Used it to cut like butter through a few boxes right away (also managed to stab my thumb almost immediately, lol).
Love how light it is... I'm thinking this is a winner for Buck.

I feel your pain... I have purchase 4 Buck knives this month, all 2017, and three are at the factory now.
So far, this 110 LT I've got seems good.

Wonder if the loud snap is due to the synthetic body of the knife? The mass of the standard brass and wood 110 might dampen the sound whereas this model kind of makes it resonate.

I was thinking the same thing. I’m sure it plays a role.

Same here, sounds like a dang bear trap! Carries great, a real feather weight in the pocket. Wish the Eco-Lite series had, had this checkering!

Seriously, a Hi-Viz color and this checkering, this thing would be an awesome lightweight backpackers folder!!

My Buck Ascend did the same thing. Was hoping this one didn’t because I was strongly considering picking one up.
