Not sure on that. I have raised the flag on this.A true weight of about 50% more than claimed is a bit of a stretch, especially in a knife sold as a lightweight. Why would the spec be so off?
Yes. Most of the time buck puts the red arrow on the blem. Most of the time it's slight. It was sold to me as a blemish, and the red arrow was applied at Buck? I have many ways to improve the appearance of that rivet head, but replacing the rivet with a screw occurred to me immediately as I like interchangeable blades. The action was a little sticky probably owing to a tight rivet, but that also is an easy fix with a screwed pivot.
I also received a 110 Hunter Pro that is going back for a defect on the bolster, that is a different issue. I love the knife, just not this specimen.
My 2017 Buck 110 Hunter original is perfect and is staying.
All three of my 110’s have a 2017 date code on blade.
Wonder if the loud snap is due to the synthetic body of the knife? The mass of the standard brass and wood 110 might dampen the sound whereas this model kind of makes it resonate.Got mine in today, so far so good.
A little stiff and with the loudest snap I think I've ever heard on a lock back.
VERY sharp. Used it to cut like butter through a few boxes right away (also managed to stab my thumb almost immediately, lol).
Love how light it is... I'm thinking this is a winner for Buck.
I was thinking the same thing. I’m sure it plays a role.Wonder if the loud snap is due to the synthetic body of the knife? The mass of the standard brass and wood 110 might dampen the sound whereas this model kind of makes it resonate.
My Buck Ascend did the same thing. Was hoping this one didn’t because I was strongly considering picking one up.My 110 LT came in.
Very light, very inexpensive, but I am disappointed that when locked the blade has up and down play - more like the blade and back spring all pivot several millimeters up and down.
I will probably just keep it, as not worth the trouble to send back, but this knife not as solid at lock up as my new 110 Hunter. My 110 LT has an awful lot of pivot flex up and down when locked. Maybe this is a rare issue?
