New GEC #13 Congress series (Clerk, Speaker Jack and Whip)

Was just able to get # 13 Stag Congress in Stag . Not great Stag , but Stag anyhow .

It is not even close to the best of the 13's with Stag that I saw , but it is one that I could get . I expect that it will be some very fat Stag to have those very long transitions .

I have a muslin micarta whittler coming Saturday to my office....too bad I don't work on Saturdays so it looks like a Monday redelivery to me.

I also reserved the muslin micarta speaker jack for its simpler design and I can decide which I like better.
 
I am thrilled to have just received this today. I've been in the woods of western Michigan for the past 3 days enjoying the weather here. I knew when I left I might miss out on the whittlers. When I remembered and had a signal I checked my email only to hear bad news about a stag version I had on standby. I wasn't willing to sit and search out and camp on sites when I was on a mini vacation. Than randomly I glanced again and to make a long story short, tada! I can see why these are so liked. It is a great size and shape.

I'm very excited to say I have a Muslin Whittler on its way to me! My first whittler.

It looks to me like the sheepfoot could be dropped quite a bit without hitting the spring. Thoughts?

Are they still making the one with a wharncliffe and pen blade on opposite ends?

I think I thought I was getting the clerk. Maybe I did. Is that what dealers just received? If not I'll probably try to get one of those also.

So far they have completed the whittlers and are working on the speaker jacks. They haven't started production on the whips or the clerks yet, or at least they haven't shown photos of their production.

Ah, yeah I looked yesterday on my phone but couldn't make the blades out.

The Whittlers are pretty looking, but I like the blade length on the other variations.
