New Kershaw Blurs...

I was planning on ordering one when they were first announced, then my need for instant gratification saw me buying and S30V, and I promptly forgot about the Elmax version. Now it seems that I may have missed the boat, went to BladeHQ earlier and saw they are being shown as "out of stock"...oh well maybe next time.

By the way, for anyone debating between stone and black wash, I highly recommend the blackwash. I have the Thermite in both and the black is really very cool looking, it gives it like a sort of aged patina look.

They are still available. Try Kershawguy, Knifecenter, or Knifeworks.

Will be getting mine Monday. Still so split on using it or minting it. I know the really rare Blurs can be quite valuable, but there is never a guarantee, and it is such a nice looking knife...

Sigh..

Ill be getting my blackwash one sometime next week, I will definitely carry and use it. After all, its the coolest looking blur ever imo, and has one of the best steel offerings in a blur, theres no reason not to use it. I dont buy knives to sell after their prices have gone up anyways, I get more enjoyment out of owning/using them.

I got my invoice from KG and just ended up deciding that I couldn't do it. The Blur is a fantastic knife at $65, but for what the Elmax versions cost, I just can't justify it. Plus, I really, really don't like the color brown if it's not wood. So, I had to pass. The good news is that this means there's an Elmax Blur that's available for someone else who really, really wants this knife!

USPS tracking says that both of mine will be waiting for me when I get home this afternoon. The trick now is to get there before my wife does....

Tracking info said they were in your town and you still went to work? *sigh* :p

Haha I got a good wife that doesn't get the mail and anymore we seem to have an unspoken "don't ask, done tell" policy with my knife purchases. That said, I think mine is still a couple days out. No tracking info so its all surprises for me.

I just got mine at lunch today. Super excited. It came to my work address. I got the black stonewash and it looks really nice. It is not nearly sharp enough yet (no hair-popping), but I will be working on that tonight. This is my first Elmax blade and my second Blur. The lockup seems a bit harder to disengage but I am thinking it will break-in.

Yeah I am digging these. The color in the handles is different than it appears on some of the websites too, a good thing. Kind of a dark bronze maybe.

Gorgeous. IMO the best blur yet (maybe besides green carbon fiber). I am really impressed with the blackwash finish. I wonder why it looks so much different from the 14c28n blackwash version. Maybe the way the different steels take the finish?

Not a great pic but I agree with others. Scale color is better in person. Definitely more of a dark bronze IMO

How is everyone's lockup? I just got a stonewashed elmax today and it barely engages...maybe 10%?

Received mine as well.. i am blown away, it looks very handsome. The brown reminds me of one of the main "camo" colors, but metallic, and it is really nice looking. The blade is perfectly centered, and while stiff, has a good action.

I think people holding out cause of the handle color are reallllly missing on this one. The color is nice, and the blade... drool.

Fetzer - in regards to your issue, mine is a good 90-95% engaged. I would talk tot eh place you bought from, or KAI, and have em fix it; that is not correct.

Out of curiosity.. Anyone measure the lade angle on these? I am thinking about touching the blade up (not quite a mirror finish... ;)) a day was curious about what they are already profiled at...
