Got my D10 today, and dang, is this thing sweet! I don't have time to take any pics right now, but first thing after loading it with a 2000mAh NiMH AA battery, I replaced the OD green lanyard paracord with neon orange, and attached the split ring directly to the lanyard holes. The low level on this light is going to be perfect for getting around in the woods at night without losing night vision altogether, and the high...wow! At about 25% this light blows anything else I own out of the water.

The UI is very intuitive, IMO, and easy to get the hang of quickly. I had one of those really cheap 'magnetic' shake lights, the kind with no actual magnet in it, that actually runs off two coin cell batteries, that I cannibalized (ripped the LED/battery assembly out of the cylinder to make it a momentary-on pocket light), that I'd been using at night, but it was so dim as to be next to useless. Comparing it to the D10 on low, I'd say it puts out about 2 lumens at most.

The D10 is definitely an improvement, and I'd just like to thank you, Andy, for being that catalyst that made me finally break down and buy a decent flashlight!

Those splashed lights look freaking awesome, swissbianco! I really love the red and black ones, and the blue and orange!

Titanium/Black fingerprint.....mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!

Looking at the bezel, those are EX10's aren't they?

SB, I'm wondering if I can talk you into doing a purple and gold one for my LSU tigers. Sports team colors would be really sweet, and probably a big seller. That orange is pretty much already ready for a Tenessee fan.

(Maybe a flashlight is too manly an item for a Tenessee fan this year. How about a Tenessee colored frilly silk bag to put the light in. )

I'm glad you like it Kyp!! Its a nice design at a reasonable price.

thanks, they where not assembled as i took pics in switzerland. youst the 2 pcs of alu body, you have to image how they look assembled, engraved. both sizes/styles, for aa and 123 cells... 50/50%

i will get myself some samples and an orange one will replace my standart version i edc in dark&cold swiss:

theres way many color mixes, patterns etc possible, coupled with matte, standart satin or high polished aluminium, the choices are endless!! each one has an unique pattern, no one is like another!

as i exhibited at last blade show in cobb, atlanta, orange-blue, was selling best, as you say, there is an us sport team with that colors, vorgot about the name.

OK. Now those farmers are just dang cool. I'm in Atlanta bro. We've got to hang out.

Where's my Nessmuk? :p :D

Andy, which charger did you decide on?

I went with the one you recommended. I don't need super fast, and those new superfast ones were $$$. And 4 nice batteries.

I also bought a Lion charger and a two RCR123's and two 14500's.

Cool. On my kayak, I run my depth/fish finder off of 10 AA rechargeables. So that I could recharge them all in one run, I bought a different brand of smart charger from Thomas Distributing. Don't remember the brand name offhand, but it is pretty slow. I need to put the batteries on to charge the night before I go out paddling/fishing.

The MAHA is pretty fast though. Seems like it has a fast and slow setting. On fast, you're talking under a half hour for a lot of recharges (when you have a low battery but there's still some power left), even though it says something like 90 minute or 100 minute. Took my small digital camera out to a mountain bike trail last week. My battery indicator on the camera showed the batteries as being low. The trip was about 40 minutes, and using the car adapter, the batteries were charged well before I arrived.

Kewl. I think I'll wind up using a lot of these rechargable AA's. Lithiums are $$. A battery powered Kyak depth finder huh? Now thats something!
