New Run of No. 15s (Beer Scout and Otherwise)

booooo, could use more single blade clips and spears and what nots! I did tell Bill 15s sell like hot cakes during my tour. thanks for the heads up Bob!

Did you get on a list for a clip point-ed barlow? Those are the 15s I'm looking forward to. Personally have no use for a crown lifter on a knife. But the barlows always rock.

I was unfortunately was at the gym when that text/update got out. But as mike's comment said, you all got the msg at the same time, no complaints now. By the time I got reception, it was all gone. Well the status was all red, I guess. Unlikely some one will vacate their spot like the SFO harness Jack. sure itll go for a killing on the secondary market. I too have no need for a crown lifter, or eo, or sheepsfoot blade. Have off loaded my beer scout, and all sheepsfoot related blades.

and the Trestle Pines Grand Portage is a great looking knife

Apreciate that.
Like you were saying that 1095 requires a lot of work to keep shiny. Many years ago I wouldn't have any knife unless it was 1095. I put a lot of time in them to keep that metal shining. After acquiring a SAK, because I got tired of ruining blades on screwdriver jobs, I just never went back. I always liked the look and simplicity of barlows and the Grand Portage is practically my dream knife. A Barlow with a screwdriver. I might've killed for that at one time.

I have a nifebrite caplifter and oak barrel beer scout on order. I have been looking forward to these knives for three months.

I've been wondering what it said on the bottle cap - "Marilla Spring Water". A reference to Marilla Springs in NY?

Thank you Mike and glad you're enjoying your new 15 :)

How many covers do you guys think they get out of a single block? 2? 4?

Could be, not sure

I am enjoying it, I really like the sheepsfoot for day to day stuff, but I also really like the clip point. I may have to get another at some point if they do another run of these in clip and cap lifter, or hopefully on the secondary market somewhere

Really regret not buying a very nice clip cap lifter with jigged bone when I saw it. Same with the 2011 forum knife

I love the easy open for functionality, you can pull it out of your pocket and open it up without ever having to look at it, but it doesnt look as good.

Ill track down an ebony 15 with clip point one day, that blade shape would be better when hiking and camping (cutting food etc)

So somewhere along the line, I ended up with a "sure" on the early reserve for one of the cap lifters. Not sure how that happened, but I went ahead and bought it so I wouldn't loose my "sure" privileges. And ya know, I'm kinda looking forward to having the screwdriver. About once a month or so I open a soda that isn't a twist off. This one is in the micarta, so I'm looking forward to making this knife earn it's keep on the shelf.

Hey guys. So, it seems I completely missed this message everyone is talking about in regards to the new #15 clip. Anyone have any ideas how hard it might be to still locate one of these? I know, I should have been more alert but things have been crazy, new baby and all. Any advice or suggestions welcome. Thanks
