New Run of No. 15s (Beer Scout and Otherwise)

I keep telling myself I don't NEED one of those acrylics....

But, they DO look just right...

Then, they're very VISIBLE in the kitchen or outdoors, practical and tough see?

This selection of my other 15s is not helping matters either, I think they're very fine looking and excellent users. Well, you can't get by with ONE pair of shoes now can you? Just wear out in months....:D:D

Thanks, That's very nice of you to say so.

The 15 has proved a very versatile frame and I'm glad they've offered them in stainless too. A Wharncliffe could be nice though....

Happy Friday to me. 1st beer of many this weekend with the new crown lifter! I'm like it so far and has been in my pocket since I got it Monday.

Okay... I ordered the draft beer acrylic. This is my first traditional style so I am worried I may not like it. I suppose $100 to waste isn't too bad in the grand scheme of knife collecting.

I can't see how you will regret it. Great knives and a great pattern for your first

I think I am just being weird because I am used to flipper/flickers. Traditionals are classy and refined. Either way, I can't wait to see it.

Intrigued and preordered one with Maroon Micarta, my first traditional folder, very unlike current knife collection. I currently carry a small fixed blade in right front pocket in a slip sheath with keys and flashlight. How is everyone EDC'ing a BS or other traditional folder? Just in pocket? Lanyard on bail? Slip Sheath?

I just toss mine in my pocket. If you don't want it all scratched up a slip sheath wold be a good idea

If you're not used to 1095 steel, you could regret it. Just find out what you need to maintain it.

... on the other side of the coin, if you're not used to 1095 you might love it. You also might find that carrying a traditional is something you like. I think you picked a good first one to try.

I'm an avid scout pattern collector, so lanyard on bail is how I roll. My paracord lanyard loops around my belt loop, and the knife dangles into my back pocket, tucked in alongside my wallet. I've been using this same paracord lanyard setup for almost ten years now.

Agreed the maroon looks great

The Golden Ale jigged bone looks great, but I hope it retains that beautiful color once it's fitted to the knives and shaped. I'm worried the color might end up too light/faded when it's all said and done.

I'm trying to hold off in buying the new beer draft acrylic but I already know it will be a losing battle...

That Golden Ale! This and the Draught Beer is going to my head :D:D

But the Golden Ale looks similar to an Amber Bone I have on a Tidioute 56, a very nice toffee colour.

Thanks, Will
