Got mine in today as well. I was not expecting the acrylic to be so sparkly, which is to say, I wasn't expecting it to be sparkly at all. I definitely didn't get that from the photos posted by GEC. I don't love it, but I am looking forward to the other options in this run.

Also, no button with this one. :grumpy:

I have to admit that they don't look like the pix on the production run, that glitter is actually not to my liking at all I saw it as a blonde lager type beer, not glitter..
Disappointed as I generally like acrylics, this is not in the Tortoise, Dead Skunk category for sure.

Time to look at the Golden Ale Jigged I think...

I got a draft acrylic aswell and I didn't expect this much sparkle ( or any for that matter) from any of the pictures gec released. I think it actually looks quiet striking though. The gold is absolutely radiant (especially in sunlight!), but I can see why it's not for everyone.

After hearing of these sparkles, the maroon option might be in the lead for me. But just a personal preference; all a great looking knives.

This just came in today. I like it more than I imagined. The acrylic is actually what sold me on this run.

I didn't love the production pics on the GEC website but unlike some of the other comments, I REALLY like the glitter on these acrylics. It provides more depth and really looks like a freshly poured beer with the bubbles still rising to the top. Congrats on a great looking knife.

Anyone else notice the slightly altered cap lifter on this new run? The hook has a slightly thinner profile and seems to grip better. Very clean opening and better than previous GEC or SAK offerings.

Got a shipping notification on both my maroon micarta and draft acrylic version. Just came back from motorcycle camping, would have been nice, albeit we had cans of beer......

Nice looking maroon micarta, both of mine coming tomorrow!!!! Trying to find some small traditional beads (in pewter/copper/wood, no dragons, skulls, totems, etc...) for a tiny lanyard/pocket pull, any leads from the group or pictures of what you've done to your beer scout.
