I wanna post this video for 2 reasons. 1. to annoy Murph. :D 2. because it is a really cool video, reminds me of the GOOD cartoons we used to watch as kids.

My three year old, who tends to surf bladeforums attached to my side and ask what each knife is said, "That was a good movie daddy" LOL.

I'm going to place an order at Tomars KABARS for some bk11 micarta but the shipping is 9 bucks! I'm going to buy a bk17 I think, to save on shipping you see :D I already have a bk16 but the clip in the 17 just speaks to me. And ifin I don't like it I can always trade it out at the exchange.

The KA-BAR micarta for the 11 is definitely worth it. You will get the box in and look at the little hunks of micarta and think "I SPENT MONEY ON THAT?" but the moment you get them on and handle the knife you will have Zero regrets. However, I do wish the scales came down a little longer, and were a bit thicker. They are about perfect the way they are, but for my hands the end of the knife can dig into my pinky when using to make heavy cuts. I remedied this with just a simple piece of cordage, but yah know. I will have to double check but doesnt 710 make micarta that goes down the 11 a little further? I cant find a pic on his website but I recall everyone talking about him making some full coverage scales.

I know I keep posting walls of text, but gotta get this one out there. Yesterday was kind of sad because I finalized and sold my truck. Made pretty good money off of it that is going for a daddy mobile, but I have had that truck since I was a teen. Its moved me in and out of 4 different homes, its safely gotten me all over this state and many more. Its carted my kids around, my wife, and other precious cargo. I had never wrecked it, backed into anyone, had to put it in a shop, or even been pulled over in it. Sure it had its quirks like any old truck but selling it felt like letting someone else take your girlfriend out for a ride LOL. I know its just a damn truck, but that old red radio flyer truck and I had been through a lot. I think I am just a little too sentimental. lol sob story over.

This KFU blade is sick. Love the scales:

That is very nice. Kris does some very nice work and is a hell of a guy too.

Hey Todd (or Tim, Temiqua, Trevor or whatever your name is) The thought just occurred to me that you could just weld or bolt extensions to the legs and then you'd be able to bolt it to the floor. Then you wouldn't have a huge concrete slab to bust up if you move the lathe or move to a new house.

You know thats not a bad idea. the only problem is that I want to raise it about 9in. The lathe weighs about 1500 lbs. so that would take some serious steel. probably be quite more expensive that the concrete.

Well there ya go, that right there made it worthy to post it.

That does suck man. I used to fool around with custom cars and bikes when I was younger and had money. Brought my daughter home from the hospital in a 69 Roadrunner. Rode my wife away from our wedding church on a custom harley that I built with my own two hands. the list goes on and on. had a lot of cool memories and cool vehicles over the years. now, there all just memories. dont have any of them anymore.

Now that sucks! I dont want to say I every had anything as cool as a hand built Harley, but I did have a, 86 KAW 750 LTD. Old 4 cylinder bike someone gave to me that was rusting out in a pile of weeds. Was 14-15 and went over that thing in my dad's dirt floor garage and got it running. Very satisfying especially cause I didnt have a clue what I was doing. It was a cool bike to say the least but long gone for chump change. Couple of bikes went that way. Glad you understand, most folks are just like "ITS AN OLD TRUCK WHY WOULD YOU WANT TO KEEP IT?!" Well cause it was a damn good old truck lol.

A guy in Oklahoma is in jail for killing a dude with an atomic wedgie.

Haha, I hate to laugh but I read that. It was his stepdad. Sumbitch pulled his undies up over his head and choked the poor bastard out with the elastic waiste band.

Read that this morning.. the guy that did it was an ex-Marine that was confronting his father in law over allegations of domestic abuse against his mom... pulled the guys underwear over his head and left it there while the guy was knocked out.. dude died of asphyxiation from his stretch band.. Can't say i blame the Marine if the fil did abuse his mom..

Anyone know what cookpot Les Stroud is using in the newest episodes of survivorman?

I have had a lot of bikes and cars over the years when I was still a mechanic by trade.. but I sold my 86 VFR750 when my son was born.. went through a lot of life and miles with that bike.. still miss that one.

Thank you, thank you... I'll be here all week. Don't forget to tip your waitress!

Man do I know how you feel!! I sold my old pickup right before Xmas. I had been driving it since 2001 and really hated to let it go, but since I bought my Tundra in May the old Ford just wasn't getting driven. I had some darn good times in that pickup in those years that I owned it. I was 19 when I bought it, so it had seen lots of dates, endless miles of back roads booze cruising, and plenty of mud holes and snow drifts. Watching it go around the corner and out of sight damn near brought a tear to my eye.
