There have been some very interesting developments I'm waiting to post. Aparently having all his information and exposing Jeff carte as nocturnal knives is destroying him and his family is not happy. I will say there is no way people can deny Jeffrey carte of karg knives is not nocturnal knives now. Waiting for some communications and I will post later.

The family is not happy because of the inappropriate behavior and the people that may have been affected by Jeff Carte. There is no proof that Jeff Carte is Nocturnal Knives and they didn't give any. They only pointed out similarities between the name of Jeff Carte's deceased Grandfather and Gene of Nocturnal, which is a coincidence. They were concerned that their ancestral name of Karg was soiled. Mike was asked to give contact information of people that were affected by Jeff Carte's actions so the history could be looked into and apologies could be made if warranted. He refused even when the emailer's identity was verified. They are extremely sorry to anyone affected by actions of Jeff Carte. Oh, it could be any number of reasons. First-post rescuers often appear when a scammer is being exposed.

This is a bit melodramatic by any standards. If you go a rip off a couple dozen people online over the course of 4-5 years, I can assure you no one is going to be concerned with your "ancestral name", "Christian name", or any other name. If I had to guess you are a friend or Gene/Jeff under a new account, which we will be finding out in due time. Why is the "Karg" family now so interested in making verbal reparations all of a sudden? After 5+ years everyone is somehow alarmed by the behavior and the soiling of the ancestral name? Come on man, that's just lame. As for Nocturnal Knives, this place is better off without the predatory style of sales, nondelivery, and lack of commitment to the community at large. Anyone can commission knives to be made overseas, stamp whatever logo they want on them, pay someone to build them a half-assed website all while hiding behind the nice and cozy anonymity of Perfect Privacy, LLC:

2. Unlike Jeff/Gene I am 100% honest. I have no clue what your rambling post is about because apparently you emailed me and now posting jibberish. Not sure what your family is trying to do. I did do a google search on Jeff Carte and Karg Knives. That was how I found the forums and the youtube video this morning.
I will admit that when I read the two comparisons between Jeff and Gene on the forum it did sound like Jeff. There is one more eerie similarity that you don't know about though. My Father that passed in 2012, his middle name was Eugene... Jeff was named after my Dad, and my Dad went by Gene even though his middle name was Eugene. I think it's kind of shitty and disrespectful on Jeff's part to do that. Jeff has not only disrespected my father by going by the name of Gene like my father did, but he has soiled our ancestral name of Karg also. When our ancestors came from Germany in the 1700's, they were named Karg. It became Cart after they came through Ellis Island.
I didn't know that he had scammed also with Nocturnal or even that Nocturnal existed before today. I will do that search and maybe some more research offline on the topic of ownership of the company but, that will take some time. You may hear from me again after that if I can find out that information.
So you would like to post what I told you? That works for me if you protect my email address. I do appreciate you making the post and getting the word out for us family members. I would like to ask you if you would wait one or two days. I spoke to Jeff's Father at lunch time today. As far as I knew before today it was always Karg Knives. Karg Knives was owned by Jeff and an oriental guy around 25 that they called Dru. He was the one that left the business and kinda screwed Jeff over, at least that was what I was told, I think sometime around 2010 - 2011. I have never heard Jeff talk about having another partner, the handful of times that I have seen him since the "Dru" partner left. I know about the mental issues though and have experienced them myself. I will think about posting on the forum.

I also know that Jeff had problems with his partner who let him to do all of the work and in the end quit the business leaving Jeff scrambling. They didn't part on good terms so, I'm sure that the ex-partner is enjoying what you guys are doing on Instagram. That is probably why the ex-partner is not saying much on Instagram.
I also will verify that Jeff's father has had health issues and we lost his Grandfather (my father) in 2012. I can also tell you that I have found out through an indirect source (Not Jeff and his wife) that another person was hired to work in the knife shop a few weeks ago.
All that being said brings me to the main reason why I have contacted you since I only became aware of this this morning. I can't guarantee that I can resolve any of the issues with the knife business by doing this but, I would like to try and get my family involved in making Jeff and his wife do the right thing by the customers and our family. First, I don't wan't to tip off Jeff and his wife that anything is about to happen, so I would appreciate it if you would not post any of this conversation on any public media anywhere, especially the forums. If people want to take legal action in the meantime, so be it. Second, to prove to my family that this is really happening, and has been going on for a number of years, I need information. Could you send me the pdf or any other info you have on, and dealings with, the business. I'm particularly interested in how many people, names, how much product/money, when and where, how long, etc. A suggestion for a way to get the information could be a fake posting on Bladeforums.com of a class action suit against their company. ...and "gene" is back on Instagram telling the same story to the seemingly never ending stream of disgruntled customers.
By now if people haven't gotten the message and seen all these people keep coming forward (just the ones willing to post, a lot more just keep waiting and afraid if they say something they won't get their knives), it's on them. But we will continue to bump his thread and update it.
