Bad Nocturnal Knives Order

This is a very forgiving community, too much for my liking because it allows these guys to exist. But if he would of came out and be upfront that he is Jeffrey Eugene Carte of Nocturnal knives some people would have forgiven him. All he does now is not address the name issue, he posted that a single person's name is not important and that there are multiple owners of Nocturnal knives. Yeah right. I know of no other knife company that has its owner hiding his name.

His response to questions about his name was TOTALLY ridiculous. So was his disingenuous offer to have people come to his shop to get a refund. Has anyone reached out to his former partner? It would be interesting to see what he has to say.

His old partner has gone silent on social media. May have created a new handle to stay away from the drama. The crazy thing is the dude used to be LEO. I don't understand how you could swear to uphold laws then go and turn a blind eye to something like this (whether that is being in too deep or being a con). This could've been avoided if he would have came out and told people what was actually going on when he left the company. Maybe that's why he used to be a LEO and is not anymore.
 
I spoke to the old partner briefly but he didn't have much to say or add to the situation
 
This was just pointed out to me, Jeff Carte had the handle the Sun & also Karg knives before he was banned, look at the sentence structure and what he writes (theme of the excuses):

Add that to the documents we've provided and the fact that even that liar won't address his names and how anyone cannot connect that is beyond me.

Cops are human too. They are capable of stuff worse. They need criminal connections to perform their job properly. It's a thin line.

The similarity / striking resemblance in the posts makes it pretty apparent that they are written by the same person. Although no more proof was needed, this just makes the conclusion that "gene" and Jeff Carte are one and the same.

Guess I just hold myself to a higher standard since I'm surrounded by criminals every day. Weird. Anyways - holy cow Mike. All of the "i'll get you taken care of"a really solidifies that.

I would also like to add my "THANK YOU" to Pittknife & brancron. I feel safer knowing you two guys are looking out for us in the knife community. I have learned a thing or two from this thread. Thank you again!!
 
Thanks a bunch Pitt, and Brancron. The sustained pressure and pages and pages of this thread really helped.

As for my story, theres lots to tell and some very strange behaviour....I'll post it on the weekend becuase I'm waiting for a transfer which I am told happened on the 22nd. If it comes through as I'm being told.... I'll let everybody know.

So... I went on Nocturnal's Instagram and confronted "gene" with the info on this thread. He denied everything and refused to provide his last name. Unfortunately, other than having an account I have zero presence on Instagram. Because of this I was accused of being a troll two of "gene's" customers. Oh well. I tried.

It will be interesting to see how this plays out and how much longer "gene" is able to keep Nocturnal going.

Hey man thanks for trying. These guys only get away with it when we keep quite. I encourage everyone that has been scammed by these guys to report them to law enforcement now that you have his name.

He will collapse in on himself with all these lies and scam sooner or later, then all those diehard fanboys that can't bother to read the information posted will act like nothing happened.

Bladeforums is the best be cause we look out for each other and the mods always do the right thing.

I'll be keeping this thread updates and bumping it regularly, just to make sure everyone knows who this low-life POS is.
 
I don't use Instagram, but is is possible "Gene's" two supporters are "Gene" himself?
 
Oh man, i'm just hearing about this for the first time. I just sold my Nocturnal fixed blade and was really sad to see it go but after hearing this i'm glad it's gone. Well Gene what goes around comes around. I'd hate to be you. Sorry for all the guy's who got ripped off though. I know how it feels.

I got my refund about a month ago after waiting a while. I though he was bullshitting when he emailed me to tell me my money order was in the mail.

The deal is that when he gets new money from scamming new customers or he steals it from investors, he pays some old refund request off. It is a classic pyramid scheme, he hopes half the people don't keep pushing the issue. He's done this many times before.

And it really helps that now he has been exposed as Jeffrey Carte, the same guy that stole a bunch of knives and money. He knows he can't hide anymore and there are legal ramifications, especially with his identity and addresses exposed.
