Northwoods #79, a dream come true?

Ha just got the newsletter a minute ago...
I did know tho thru in$#$%ram that it was going online at 4 mst , so got prepped.
a gluton for punishment, as I had to look thru the choices in giraffe and black camel, and then denim. by the time I got the denim page open only had two left. so had to hustle to get the giraffe that I got.
Not too many in blue and green so they went fast!!!

Slow email servers, and it takes time for the origin server to shoot out, say a few thousand copies! Newsletter receipt time of your inbox has no meaning, since it could have been sent anywhere between a minute to a few hours earlier. Derrick did post a video on the famous social media site with the day and time of release. Sometimes it helps to monitor multiple channels than depend on a single unreliable one. ;-)

Yeah, that's why I mentioned that I had gotten a heads up yesterday. Thanks for the advice!

Or do not use, as you said a single unreliable media/advertising source with a 30 minute lead time when you cannot meet that notification deadline. This followed a tease on YouTube, and no release time mentioned on this site. Some of us cannot possibly monitor all avenues of communication or media.
 
If our order status says "Awaiting Fulfillment" that means you got the knife correct? I missed on a couple while I was checking out and I want to make sure I actually got one haha

I called them today and they told me the time. Easy.

You should be A-Okay. That seems to mean you are in the system with stock assigned to you.
The item still needs to be packaged and a shipping label created, etc.

If there was an issue, your order would have been bounced back out (failed) as you were trying to pay and have been noted as product 'out of stock'.
Fairly standard practice for e-commerce & fulfillment.
 
I'm stocked for the free coin. Anyone know what it looks like. Cooper? Or was it the one on the pic? Are they all the same color?
 
Oh well.... time on my e-mail notification is 6:36. E-mail informed me that they would go up at 600. I opened my e-mail at 7:05. And i missed the boat.

I will CE & CF the one Northwood I own tonight.

It's just a knife and I have more than any human needs.
 
I got the drop notification email 21 minutes after I got my order confirmation email but I understand about the servers. I'm not on Instagram, Facebook, or any of those other sites and I didn't think to check Youtube. I saw a post here on Bladeforums from Derrick a few days ago stating that the Fremonts would drop early this week so I've been watching the KSF website since early yesterday morning just in case there was a problem with the drop notification emails.

Glad that's over. I must have visited the KSF website 100 times since yesterday and I just got lucky logging on right when the Fremonts were dropped.
 
Talk about the knives please, not the frenetic purchasing process.
If some of you find your posts missing later this evening that'll be the reason.
 
Oh darn, forgot these were going up today. Wasn't planning on buying one but I wanted to ogle at the pictures. Post pretty pictures when you get them, folks!
