He explicitly says that he is not responsible for the protection of the US knife industry. This is true. Its not his job. As a gear reviewer he is (as he says) a consumer advocate. And therefore, his position is to investigate what is available to us consumers.
If a guy wants an XM-18 and is not active duty military, EMS, LEO, or a FireFighter and he can't afford $600, $700, $800, $900 what's he supposed to do? Remember I said XM-18. I'm not condoning anything just something to think about.
This is bogus though. He isn't responsible for the protection of the US knife industry but he is responsible for the protection of the gun industry? He's been posting hour long political videos for the last two months.
He loves to promote gun rights but apparently not Intellectual Property rights.

Very poor taste. I can't believe this video. He already did a video on the "cheaper" XM, the ZT05xx. Why would he do a video supporting IP theft? A lot of people are bagging on the "made in China" thing, but like I said in the comments on his YT video ...the knife could have been made in Scotland. It doesn't matter, theft is theft. I don't care if the quality is FANTASTIC on these knockoffs. That is not the point, the point is the blatant use/theft of the Hinderer name and design no matter whom it may be, Chinese or whoever else...
First, you are not, you are just posting another opinion, fully subjective and not a statement of fact.I like to think that I'm bringing a level of objectivity to this discussion.
All I'm saying is nutnfancy is not personally responsible for the creation and sale of counterfeit products. So stop pretending that he is. Most of you are overreacting.
Sure. He's a hypocrite. But it's a separate issue. Completely irrelevant. And this thread is about the knife video. So lets try and keep it on topic.
I never said I was a fan of his. In fact I'm not. I like to think that I'm bringing a level of objectivity to this discussion.

Watch any of his videos. He constantly brags about how he is personally responsible for the sale of hundreds of thousands of knives and other gear.

You guys seriously have your priorities out of whack if an internet knife reviewer can make you so mad that you are doing the pee pee dance. And lets not worry too much about Rick Hinderer. Anyone who has the temerity to charge that much for a dang knife and get away with it can certainly take care of himself. I think whats really going on here is that Nutnfancy is exposing the outrageous, bloated markup on some American supposed "high end" knives, and its embarrassing their fan boys. So they call Nutnfancy nasty names. Thats what a psychiatrist would call transference.
He prob just did it to rile everybody up. Purpose is to show disdain over knives priced the way it is. He knew there would be plenty of opposition with the release of this video. He's known to not be into knives priced beyond a certain amount and know that his videos generate plenty of sales within his following in the more general market segment.
