Odd and unique shop tools

Don't have any pics atm but BBQ skewers(wood or bamboo) would be my tool, I think everyone knows what they look like.
 
I've heard of bamboo used as pin material...

And I guess they might be handy for cleaning odd spots...

Bamboo skewers are good as mixing sticks, and come in a big bundle. They transfer the epoxy into a hole, such as a hidden tang hole, nicely,too.

FWIW, I use bamboo chopsticks to make temporary pins to hold the slabs on a knife and grind the handle profile. Then you just drive them out ( using another piece of chop stick) and do the handle filework or blade finishing.

Close enough, I use them to get the bubbles out of the epoxy when I put epoxy in a block for a hidden tang.

Here's a picture of a "hairpin tool" from Tony Bose's website, used to hold a brass bushing while he drills and reams the hole. I think it is a work of simple beauty!
