not to be a wet blanket, but we have people who are fat.....me people who are really old and fit col defender, people in their prime and everything else in between its not really a fair contest just more of a try to do something better for yourself.

I run once or twice a month, in 3-4 mile spurts. This thread has made me go out of my way to find time just so I can get more coveted becker points. I've done more running since this thread started than I have in the last half year, I think.

This thread is all about beating YOUR records, conquering YOUR Everests, and being there to cheer on those who beat theirs.

2 mile walk Thursday. Weather still a bit bitter for bike riding....

TTD: 37 BP

3.5 miles total Saturday. No points for Friday. Weather this morning felt like Bangor, Maine, with 30+ mph wind gusts, and a balmy temp of 28 degrees...so freaking cold the dog crapped on one of my neighbor's lawns (never did like that creep anyway); she wanted to get it over with ricky tick. Walked about another hundred yards, turned around after she pee'd, and I'll be damned if my Beatrix didn't take another dump on that creep neighbor's lawn....made my day:D. Anyway, I'm not counting or will count today's dog walks since they will be real short.

TTD: 40.5 BP
 
Never intended as a competition. It was about pushing yourself from the beginning.
 
I just finished a 5 plus mile walk which brings me to a total of 27 miles and 27 BPs. It was a bit cold but a nice sunny day and a great day for a walk. Waterfowl are headed south this morning, flock after flock!
 
didn't mean it as a comparison, maybe leaderboard is the wrong term. Maybe just a way to see how everyone is doing? I mean, there are no prizes for most BPs done.
 
AW SHOOT....I KNOW I WALKED MORE THAN A MILE TODAY, BUT I'm JUST GOING TO POST UP AN ADDITIONAL 1/2 MILE SINCE IT REALLY ANNOYS THE CRAP OUTTA' ME TO LOOK AT POINT SOMETHING NUMBERS....

Lots of walking today, but nothing official,

Aditional snow shoveling, and last minute winterizing projects. 10 degrees, 15 mph north wind and six inches of snow last night.

Cold snap finally passed. Couple of nice walks this weekend; 6.04 miles over Sat and Sun, for a running total of 17.69 Becker Points.
 
11-20-13 - same 1.5 mile walk 7.5 total Becker points.

11-21-13 - 3 miles hiking - 3 Becker points
11-22-13 - 6 miles hiking - 6 Becker points
11-23-13 - 6 miles hiking - 6 Becker points

22.5 total points
 
11/22/2013 - Walking 3.8 Miles = 3.8 points
15.6 (previous total) + 3.8 = 19.4 points total

11/23/2013 - Walking 2.0 miles 2.0 pts
11/24/2013 - Walking 4.0 miles 4.0 pts

19.4 (previous total) + 6.0 = 25.4 pts ---- woohoo over 1/2 way to my minimum goal

My goal list is :
If I hit : I will buy myself
50 pts - BK15
75 pts - BK5
100 pts - BK9
150 pts - I will allow myself to buy all three :D :D

So, the key is motivation, motivation, motivation....

Good thing! Considering I'd have 0 Becker points for the past few years! Doing 12 miles in less than 10 days is saying something for me.
