Official SURVIVE! picture thread

3 flavors. Just received the 4.1 second. Both 3.5's are seconds, with the center being S20cv that was purchased second hand. The 4.1 is beefy, probably all the knife I will ever need.

Man I wish I would've ordered a smooth top 4.1 instead of jimped with a ferro notch!
Nice collection bud!

Thanks. Funny thing is , i had ordered w/ a ferro notch but decided against and was lucky to get through in time.

I wish I would've done that. I don't think it would be a huge pain to square off that whole spine.

I have black canvas on one and natural canvas on the other.
At least the jimping is really good on these knives. It's not annoying and aggressive.
I like a nice 90degree spine just for scraping fuzz kindling.

I have a knife with stupid aggressive jimping and one with a 90 degree jimp-free spine and I would agree with your thoughts on those. I never use the one with the sharp teeth on its back. I love the survive jimping for the very reason you mentioned and i think because of the multi position grip, it helps compensate when in the "standard" hand position. At least for me. If you ever feel like that black canvas one isn't working out for you, let me know!

I'm glad I'm not the only picky person when it comes to jimping! I'll definitely let you know if I get rid of it!

I love getting new gear to use, in this case I added one of sagewood's 4.1 sheaths (Bought used from Brian who did a great job darkening it for me) some new gloves and a brass LED Flashlight. I added my Benchmade Grip with custom "Death of all things" scales because I picked the green micarta specifically to match my survive knives. Cheers!

Nice group! What flashlight is that? Great choice on the Benchmade also. It has to be a night and day difference from the factory scales.

It's a Foursevens Mini ML-X Gen-2 oddly long name. I really like the DOAT scales, when I first got them I wasn't sure how much better i'd like them, that changed as soon as I put them on, I just love handling the knife now, couldn't recommend more highly. Can't wait to see what guy does for a folder.

That a impressive output on that light! I'll have to check out that companies scales if I get another Griptilian. I'm hoping that Survive! folder built like a monster!

Are those chanterelles? I'm not a mushroom person but I've heard they're good.

Yes, it's chanterelles. :) They're really, really delicious! Fry them up with some butter, salt and pepper. Serve on a toast, or even better with freshly caught perch. Yum!
