Old Friends Friday

Carryoing my 5 year old Case sodbuster today. This is undeniably the most reliable knife I've ever had. Takes a scary edge, so simple it doesn't back down to any challenge. I've used it at work, in the woods and in EDC. Pics to come. I've ground it into more of a spear point and textured the handles. Not pretty to most, but beautiful to think of the use it's given me.

I've been carrying my Geppetto Whittler all week. It was my first GEC, and I had been neglecting it for a while. Man, it's a handy little knife with some sharp thin blades.

Getting reacquainted with CSC's fantastic Cannitler while keeping the White Owl in another pocket.

Thanks 10fingers. I've always like the 68's but since removing the bail on this one I haven't been able to put it down. Good hunting!! -James

Ok, I have had a hell of a week. I am sorry to complain. I was disappointed when my peanut bone cover cracked. Ha! That was easily fixed with superglue. Probably the best thing that happened this week.

My son broke his hand badly and has to have surgery Monday. He'll be ok. We have insurance. Then I wrecked my truck today. Totally my fault. It's repairable, with a lot of money.

So....I went and found an old friend. My first and most loved traditional. It will be in my pocket until things turn around, probably longer. Next week will surely be better.

Just like when I started this thread, I'm feeling guilty about the number of great 'Old Friends' that I rarely find time to carry, so hoping to try and redress that a little  Today, I'm carrying this TC Barlow, gifted to me by my friend Duncan @Campbellclanman , when we met up in Sheffield, a few years ago now, and so a wonderful reminder of a very happy day in great company :)
