OT: Fiddlebacks & Firearms

Thanks. Rick made that specially for my Bison knife. It has a dangler attachment as well. It's probably my favorite sheath, and it works well for this new one as well. Gotta love the orange on the dark brown leather.

I love resurrecting this thread every so often.

My newest Osage with my 1871. The sheath is from Rick Lowe, and is meant for a Bison, but is serving double duty at the moment.

Can you say blue? And this particular osage has some of the best chatoyancy I've seen in this wood. It ripples in the light.

:thumbup:Great set up Tony! Love that Osage Frontier model.

I just knew you'd jump in, Gus!

No, if I remember correctly it's rosewood on this one. I'll have to look it up. But I know it's not blackwood.

Well whatever it is, it looks sweet![emoji106]

I'm still laughing at your calling Pert a sir! Though it's an understandable mistake considering how few and far between the ladies are on here.

Now...waiting for you to post some weaponry!

Alright Tony, I'm a little light on firepower, but I'll try to get some pics.[emoji6]

I recycle the same powder weaponry. Usually because I have a current favorite, or I'm too lazy to get something else out. I think you've seen this pistol about 400 times now.

Now, now, let's get it right:
Beautiful! Except, that's not a "bolster," that's a half-and-half handle. ;)
You're quite right my good man.

He called me a "good man." That's way better. :D

All in good fun! As I've mentioned before, I read Bladeforums for a while before joining and, noting the predominately male membership base and the dynamics thereof, chose a 'neutral' username when I signed on so that I could start talking about knives and glean from others without drawing attention to myself: "Look! A GURL!!" (I've seen this happen.) Even when meant with good intention, it can change discussion dynamics from the get-go.

So now, discussion draws to a halt when others point out a misapplied pronoun (or noun, in this instance) here or there. :D

(It's nothing that bothers me either way, which is good because I've brought this upon myself.)

:)

Sorry P, no offense intended. I was just ribbing you a bit. You were right, it's not a bolster. It's half and half.

Happy New Year [emoji324]

...and it seems that other feather was indeed from an owl!

"Look! A GURL!"

I'm holding my sides laughing.

None taken, of course!

Helpful hint: whenever you read one of my posts, assume I'm smiling, possibly even laughing, or about to be. :)

Happy New Year to you and yours, as well.

Luka917-- OF COURSE IT IS!! :D

(I've been trying to get back to the SS thread since you wrote, and will soon.)

Thanks for bringing this thread back up again.

Here's a couple more.

Very very impressive. Classics.

The 94 was my first rifle. A pre-Winchester/Japanese model like that is on my list of maybe someday collectibles.

The 39 has always been on that list as well.
