You are welcome Rolf, and thank you too. If you ever want to find a range half way between us and shoot let me know!

I mostly daily carry an older Colt Combat Commander but, I also have a GLOCK 36 & it has proved to be an ultra reliable compact little .45.

If you want an inexpensive gun chambered in .45 acp that goes bang everytime you pull the trigger get the Glock. Another gun I'd suggest is the FN Herstel .45's. I went with an HK USP, I have always been drawn to that gun and had to have one, despite them being overpriced.

Funny thing is my rabbit, Tyrone, has always been a 1911 guy. But we went to the range the other day and after he shot my USP he was hooked.

While I would still take my Glock if I could only have one. Glocks will never have the soul of the 1911.

Meybe you could hit me up with a loan, Broh! :)
Someday, I'll have the H&K and the 1911. Dunt you worry.
FWIW, my Godfather just bought an 8 shot SS S&W .357. :O

Thanks Trevor. NICE...
Ya know, I always preferred shooting a revolver but the semi-auto, overall, just makes much more sense to me.

My friend, there is nothing wrong with a wheel gun- you know they won the west;)

Nothing is as reliable not even the glock:)

I carry a Glock 21 every day...i trust my life to this gun. Whole department switched to glock 21( gen 4) and glock 30 as back-up or off duty. Shoots any ammo run thru it, goes bang everytime and is usually more accurate than the shooter. 14 rounds of 230g gold dots is a pretty feirce option. Switching from the 40.cal glocks, even our problem shooters have improved....but remember, a handgun is a defensive weapon, a good tool to fight your way to a proper gun- shotgun or rifle....as others have said, a good shotgun is awful hard to beat for home defense.

Not doubting you and not trying to start a fight at all. However I have to ask how switching to a 45 from a 40 helped anything. You got a bigger heavier pistol with a larger grip, longer reach to the trigger that recoils more. The only advantage is a what .4" sight radius improvement. I mean they went from G22 to G21 right? Not even a differnt brand.

After trying a few Glocks, I got the XD45. They never felt right, or shot quite right, for me.
I have big hands, and like full-size guns (and knives.)
Last week at the range, my friend lets me try his worked-over model 27 in .40. Worked-over = aftermarket recoil spring, and trigger job. He had the grip extender, but it's still not all there for my hand.
The sharp indent on the trigger guard pinched my middle finger with every shot, but I've never grouped so well with a handgun in my life.
Still not sure I'd by one - but it goes bang every time, and can be quite a performer.
