Pictures here! Photo Thread!

I got this from David awhile ago, but haven't used it yet.
It's from the .250" thick AEB-L run.
I ordered it thick and chunky, and I really like it. But I think I want it a little more rounded. I've got pretty comfortable with my skills, so I decided now is the time.
I am normally reluctant to modify other maker's work...... hopefully David is ok with it. It turned out amazing, looks great.

It's not super noticable. I put a fair amount of time into it this afternoon.
I softened the handle profile, rounded the handle shape overall, and cleaned it up. I still have to adjust the kydex sheath because of its new size.
I really like broomstick style handles.
This knife has a cool 80's BadAss style now.
Is Butcher Wharncliffe a style? Ha
Thanks for looking.

Group shot:
The white or pale green handled knife, has the upside down blade shape of the redhandled Wharncliffe you modified. Tall blade plus nicely tapered point - looks like fun from here.

Yes, they are of the same design.
One is ghost g10, and one is padauk wood.

I have referred to it as my "Always" design. It's Always the right knife. I Really like them a lot no matter how I carry them, or their blade configuration.
I intended the shape for a variety of handle positions. Saber, reverse grip, etc.
It's a design I've been tweaking. I've have had David help me. I'll definitely make more of them, hopefully I'll have David make more too.I

Thanks.

I'm about the last person who would ever be upset for someone to make a knife more their own. I really like what you did with it!

Thanks for posting Dave. An oldie but a goodie!

Those 2 have been held hostage by Canadian post for close to 2 months...

Then one day at 10am (Australian Eastern Coast Time) they were at Vancouver airport 'awaiting transfer to destination country'... and by 3pm I had a 'sorry we missed you' card in my mailbox...

They must have some mighty fast aircraft!!!

Remember that blade steel is Not stainless.
It kinda almost wants to pretend it's stainless, but it's not.
Close to A2, maybe a little better? As far as corrosion resistance.

Please keep us updated.
Lots of people are jealous of You!
Haha. 😁😁😁
Yep. 90% of my knives are tool steels and carbon steels. Nothing new here for me. Mineral oil and drying off after use.

I’m really enjoying this knife so far!
