Here is what I brought on a long hike on Saturday, it was the perfect companion to what I have here. Knife brings multiple features I like together in a convenient/compact fixed blade. Don't notice the weight in my bag at all, and the Kydex is a good material to have as opposed to leather on a day where it is hot and sweaty, I would guess. Nice to have something to just rinse off with my water bottle and pat off without worrying about getting fruit in the knife or drying the inside, as we eat mainly fruit on the trail, so it's like, cut some apples every few hours, do so again... small fixed blade is definitely the way to go with this when out and about. The Suretouch/G10 material feels fantastic.
In use, it kind of reminds me of some of my favorite features of Spyderco and Victorinox, happens to also be what I have here in the photo, too.
May try a little whittling with it, next time! Nothing like what I did this time, though. Spent the resting portion of the hike making a walking stick by halving a long branch that I found with wood much harder than it looked with that Shaman. Had to ditch it in the woods once we headed back towards night, but was a fun outing!
