I first stumbled onto David’s work in a trade I made with Good Knife Co and ended up with a sitrep that David had made. It was the first custom I owned. Impressed with the work I lurked around David’s forum for a bit and communicated back
and forth and when I saw the image of the magnacut chopper on the sheet i immediately reached out to David who informed that it was an r&d piece and if he were to sell it he would let me
know. Well here she is, and my first custom that I inquired about and now own. I look forward to working with David in the future on some projects but in the meantime I will continue to test out this magnacut and see what happens.

The 1st of 2 David Mary knives I commissioned. And my 1st custom, this is based on the Tuff Lite blade shape.
I received it this a.m. and have cut a few things, it's a cardboard slayer as he said it would be

Thanks David !

Going on month #3 with the riverhawk as my main EDC I no longer carry any other full size blade. I now carry the countycomm carbon fiber and Ti craft knife. It's crazy having my pockets back. Shout out to Jason for the run and David for making them. At the rate I'm using the craft knife I'll probably get several years out of the 100 pack of blades I bought.

Swp321: That R&D is a magnificent score. Great design executed in a great steel. Many congrats on acquiring that beast. Hope it gives you many years of whack 'n slash fun!

And to contribute a bit to the eye candy in the thread, here's a DM Spydie Resilience regrind I was lucky enough to get. As a fan of willow leaf blades, David's reshape of the blade suits me fine. And its laser sharp!!

I have a similar scalpel blade flipper knife but it's all Titanium with no CF, and I haven't used it much yet. I also have a TiRANT titanium utility blade flipper knife that just came in this week, which I will use a lot for opening boxes with sticky tape.

Very cool ideas, but carrying 3 knives daily (my Spartan SHF or on other days some other high-end knife in my front pocket, including my Wharntastic, and a Swiss Army Knife in my side pocket, and a Benchmade Shootout or similar automatic in back pocket), doesn't leave a lot of room for more knives at the same time.

Time to invest in a daily carry backpack...;)

Or start smaller, with just a fanny pack/hip sac.

I can't seem to leave the house, without 3 on my person and a couple more blades in my "possibles" pack/sack/bag.

Hahah I have a drawstring bag I carry around with me - there is a Spartan Pallas flipper, a Mini Griptilian, and a Buck Sprint Pro 841 flipper hooked onto it, and a Leatherman multitool inside. Inside is also a battery pack and charging cable, asthma puffer, chapstick and sunscreen, sunglasses, extra BT earbuds, my handicapped blue hang tag (switched to custom plate and hang tags instead of the disabled plate), masks, water bottle, gum, food bar, meat stick, iPad mini 6, and my old spare Apple Watch. Not old enough to keep extra underwear in there yet.

You are however, never too old for extra socks. I keep a couple of knives, pliers, an adjustable wrench, handgun, and a boost pack in my bag. I need to remember to put a pair of socks in my bag now that I think of it... Got out of the habit after leaving my last job and not being away from home constantly.

Thanks for the kind words. She’s a real beaut and a beast at the same time. Haven’t put it to any hard use yet but haven’t had any problems breaking down wood for a fire pit or clearing out an invasive woody plant species behind my shed. And she’s still laser sharp. I feel fortunate to have been able to grab it.

Yeah, I have socks in the trunk of my car and in my hiking camelback (with raincoats), and an extra pair of Merrill Gore-Tex hiking boots and CF hiking poles in the car (and oh so much more stuff the back is full of just in case). I'm ready to bug out all the time, LOL.

But my S&W 360PD is in my pocket not my pack (158gr .357)
