Pokerface deal gone bad.

^ I completely agree with this also.

^ You can highlight Rule #5, use differ ink color, supersize it...whatever...unfortunately for some people here, they still won't get it...

Apologies, I didn't see that sentence... must have read right past it.

Savage...read the red quote above a few times to learn when feedback should be left and when not to. Neither person in this situation is out any money (payment was refunded) or a knife (it was never sent) so no feedback should be left.

EDIT: I see you now read that part...we posted at the same time

As for the situation as a whole, it's a crappy way to run a sale but Poker still has his knife and Breezie still has his money.

Hi Armando. I'll take it please. I'm just boarding a flight and will send funds when we land. Please send me your PP address just to make sure I still have it. Thanks!

Brian,

I realized that I'm selling this for too little compared to what I bought it for...I'm going to end up keeping it.

Sorry about that.

Best,

^ There's no need to apologize. It would've definitely helped, had the actual rules been quoted here much earlier. The quote that Spartan posted, I believe was written by RevDevil, & is his own personal addendum, due to the rampant abuse of the BF's feedback system (somebody please correct me if I'm wrong).

There have been so many thread's & requests in Tech Support over this very issue (please refer to the other active GBU thread involving member Retired01). The innocent member that got dinged, will now have to appeal to Spark, to get his retaliatory feedback removed. Spark has made in very clear, that he is losing his patience over this BS!

Everyone here knows, that the feedback system is far from perfect. BF member "Happy Daddy," has had some pretty good takes on this issue, IMO. I don't really like using this phrase, but it's one of those situations where, "it is what it is"...far from perfect.

Well that's to bad. Let me know if you change your mind.
Armando,

I have to be honest, I'm still stinging over this one a little. I understand you realized you were asking less for this than what you paid and I respect that. With that said, what would you consider a fair price for this to complete the deal?

Brian

I'd have to get $175 net (175 Friends/180 Goods). After Priority Shipping…I would pocket $160 by my calculations…and even then, I'm not that thrilled considering that I paid $229 for it.

-Armando
I'll send $175 F&F. Thank you for making this right Armando.

Brian

What happened to "I'll do that if you agree"???? I'm sending your money right back. You should have waited for me to agree.
Wow, you have this posted for two days at $150 and when we agree to a deal you renig on it and when I give you a chance to make it right you pull this bullshit?? Nevermind. We'll just see what the members think.

I have requested that the negative feedback be removed in order to ensure full compliance with forum rules.

Good for you . It sucks to have a deal fall through that is really good especially on a knife you really want .

Your situation has happened to me in the past as well . Went so far as a seller text me from the post office with a change of heart . It sucks but on the brightside you have your money and you weren't scammed.

I don't think anybody is saying the seller is 100% right and you 100% wrong . He should of been sure he wanted to sell his item aND the price he wanted for it .

You made a mistake too, not worth keeping on about it. Like I said be grateful you weren't scammed ,just keep on the exchange you'll find what your looking for .

^ This looks pretty factual to me. Both of you it appears, handled this situation poorly.

And if I may, Poker Face, you might want to consider changing your email address to: Mandon'tmachado@gmail.com :D

Edit:
The rules I quoted were from spark in the sticky on the rules section.

^ Thanks, for the clarification.

Don't Post an item for sale for an set Value, Unless you plan on accepting what you are asking....PERIOD. This is a no brainer....................... Poor decision on the sellers end. Man Up! However, I agree feedback rules are BF rules and clear and no feedback should have been given.

It is a shame this type of history happens time and time again.

If this is exactly how it went down, I could see where this could be construed as an agreement.

If you didn't want to let it go the second time, why even entertain a price? Either give a price that you will actually accept or let them know that it is no longer available.

"Not out money or items," is not a criteria listed in the forum policy. You're just making things up now. You're right, it is simple to understand. The only requisite to leave feedback is that a deal "goes through" or "happens." Since a deal is (and you can google the definition if you don't believe me) a mutually beneficial agreement between two parties, when they agreed, the deal went through+happened. Now OP can leave feedback. Those are the rules, and if you're going to offer an opposing arguement, use facts--don't make things up:thumbdn:.

Yeah, not making anything up. That would be stupid. The rules are clear. Have you read them yet?

Forgetting the FB issue for a sec.....you list a knife at a price of YOUR choosing. Someone claims it. You then decide the price was too low. You renege. Then raise the price $25 and want F&F payment, sucky, buyer agrees. You renege again.
Shitty way of doing business.
Think this is the third time this happened in the past couple weeks.
Make up your mind BEFORE listing items for sale!!

How true TD!!!
How many times I've given a price that was too low on an AC repair I couldn't count.......MY BAD!! Did repair for quoted price.....period!
Joe
AND seller asking for payment by Friends & Fam?? Sucks.....period.

Um, yes there is. He made wild accusations of people making stuff up when he himself hadn't even read the rules. When having a serious discussion such as this people who don't take it seriously need not apply.

It would've definitely helped, had the actual rules been quoted here much earlier.

It would have helped had this guy even read the rule he was arguing over.

Is it me or are these GB&U threads just getting more ignorant by the day......

If an offer is accepted, a contract is formed. A seller can sign a real estate contract for the sale of a piece of land. If seller changes his mind and wants to ask for more money, buyer can sue him and force the sale at the agreed upon price.

By the logic of some folks here, a person who posts knives for sale (that he did not own) should be immune from negative feedback unless he accepts money. Money is not required for a "deal" to be completed. A deal is a promise. An exchange of currency for a product is a purchase. There is a difference.

Good god. Another person who has not read the rules. Read them! This is not a court of law. There is no magic immunity to feedback spell. This is BFC and we agreed to abide by the rules. Don't like them? Log out.

Supposing they took the money and didn't have the knife and hence, didn't ship it, we would call that a scam. A negative iTrader feedback would be moot after the banhammer strikes.
