Wait so this wont just be run for a week but all the way to the 18th, did I miss where the ending date was posted?

Guy your killing me this might mean I get two knives!!!!

I put in my order a couple days ago - M390, Orange Terotuf, Black Kydex, w/o Bow Drill divot. Once again, I think this is my favorite design of the lineup. Happy to join the frenzy! It's helping with my post election blues. ;)

Just received my GSO-5.1 in CPM-3V today!! Stoked since I fly out tonight for an extended road trip culminating in AK (pre-relocation trip to get the wife, dog, and vehicle there before I join hopefully in March) and I REALLY wanted to take it along if I can carve out (so to speak) some time in the woods when I get there.. This is my first Survive! knife and I have to say that so far (not having done anything but drool on it) it meets or exceeds my expectations. A small example, trivial to some perhaps but important to someone like me with slight bouts of OCD, is the perfect alignment of the screw slots in the handle - to me this speaks of great attention to detail that I can really appreciate. I really dig the balance and ergonomics - the contoured grip fits my hand like it was custom, unlike the blocky handle on my Esee-5. Can't wait to put it to the test side-by-side.. This should keep me busy until the new 4.1s arrive.

I also want to compliment Guy on his outstanding customer service! Dude, you went above and beyond to get the knife to me before I got out of town. He even shipped his personal Kiadex sheath to me since one in the color I requested wasn't ready in time to make my schedule! You will have my business for a long time: great product and wonderful support! Keep it up and you are going to do awesome, I think this is already evidenced by the 200 4.1 preorders in two days! My hat is off to you sir!

Cheers,
Drano

Yeah, I've actually decided that I will try to do a preorder special each time a new design rolls out. I do need to quit the "just above cost" and focus on some growth but I can still give people a very friendly discount on a preorder. The GSO-7/7(GSO-6) should be moving into production in January, after this GSO-4.1 thing is wrapped up. I also have a few other surprises that I'm working on. Don't ask, or they won't be surprises. ;)

How about a retrospective pre-order special on the GSO 5. I'm starting to think I need one in Elmax. I presume there will be more made eventually?

Or maybe I should just wait to see what else you come up with. Have you ever thought about doing a small (around 3") fixed blade as a light-weight companion to the GSO-10?

Awesome thaks for the review, looks good!! Makes me want one too!

How much will these jump up to after the preorder ?

Well the Preorder special for the GSO-4.1 begins at $120 for either M-390 or CPM-3V, with 3 canvas micarta options. The same knife after this special will start at $165, in those same steels and materials. All the add on's like extra handles, handle colors and sheaths are the same price either way. I don't mark those up beyond what I need to cover shipping.

LOL It's under the "info" tab, on the GSO-4.1 product page. At the bottom of that info page, you can click another link for even more promo details. It's the FULL promo details, that wouldn't fit in that little tabbed box on the store page. The store front for this promotion will be open until next Sunday night, November 18th. That is the deadline.

International shipping for two knives would be the same rate I guess?

Yes, that is correct. Also, I send all International shipments marked as "Camping Tool" on the customs declaration, with a declared value of $50. So far that seems to be the best combination to keep things moving through customs nicely, without having to pay some silly duty fee on something you've already paid for.

I am planning on a preorder special, after the holidays, to kick off the GSO-7/7(GSO-6). I will have the final specs for that bad boy listed shortly after the new year. And yes, I actually already have a 3" knife pretty much completely designed, as well as some other fun things. By spring you should see the first SURVIVE! folder as well. I will be pulling out ALL the stops for my first folder. ;)

Very interesting. Please skeletonize the handle of the 3" blade for proper balance. My request for the folder would be to maximize cutting edge / handle ratio, and to use an opening mechanism that doesn't hang up on deep material - thumbhole/flipper/wave preferred to thumbstud or disk. I've been on the look out for some time for the perfect 4" survival folder, so I am intrigued to see what you come up with.

When I saw the first announcement for the GS0-10, I thought it must be joke, given the price. Now, I feel about ready to lap up whatever you come out with. Also nice to support someone local(ish). I'm in DC.

Should i just forward my next payckeck to you or have it direct deposited in your account? Had a feeling you were working on a folder. Yes i will be getting one of those and the GSO 7-7 (GSO-6).

I am laying in a tent right now trying to come up with a reason to add another one of your knives to my camp kit... you're killing me! ;)

Yes, I'm wondering if I can hold out for the GSO 7 or have to go find a GSO 5 while waiting for the GSO 4. Mike

I just got alerted to this promo and I have some questions.

Is the EDC 4 and GSO 4.1 the same knife? Are there any in hand pics of the actual knife being offered in the promo on the website? (https://www.surviveknives.com/products/?slug=product_info.php&products_id=30)
The 3D prototype picture shows spine jimping, no lanyard hole and it looks like it has a slightly more obtuse tip than the knives in the color selection picture.

If you can help clear up the confusion, I'd very much appreciate it :)

Pia

FOLDER!!! Oh boy. I'm glad I didn't see this before I went to bed. haha. I know it's gonna be awesome. My only request on the folder is to have multiple interchangeable scales. Thanks Guy
