This was a great thread set up! and some S90V would be sick!!!

Keep experimenting and I know that you will have no shortage of people getting your stuff when you are offering awesome products at these kinds of prices!!

Keep up the good work brother!

Interested in the three inch design you have in mind. Might make for a good EDC blade for utility purposes as well as last ditch defensive use.

I might as well put my two cents in LOL. It might be nice to get one with a stabilized ,figured ,hard maple handle !! LOL

Or a wood like Arizona Desert Ironwood or Cocobolo that doesn't need any stabilization. Just a thought. A natural wood handle would satisfy a good number of woods users. :)

Shit, I might have to get a little more S90V... I was just going to be testing it mostly but if some of you want one, I'm inclined to make it happen. Let me see what I can do.

:D Make some in 4V for testing of course, I will immediately order a third knife and all my steeljunky needs are satisfied :D

one in M390
one in 3V
one in 4V

:tears_of_joy:

One can always dream :sneakiness:

Guy, I would like to know how far you with the GSO-4.1? Like to see some real life pictures. Cant wait till mine CPM-3V version is in the mailbox!

I think Guy has given us a status:
The M-390 is already at a facility, waiting to be cut into knife blanks. I ordered three sheets of CPM-3V from the mill yesterday and those sheets should be shipping out tomorrow, to the facility where they will be cut.

It's been only like 5 days since the preorder ended and I'm already starting to feel edgy from the waiting....oh dear....

Ok, so all of the steel is now ordered. I ended up getting the M-390, CPM-3V and a sheet of CPM-S90V. All of that steel will be cut into roughly 700 knives, sometime next week. Then our first production stop will be Peter's Heat Treating. We learned a LOT regarding ideal production work flow during the GSO-10 run, so this GSO-4.1 run should go quite a bit faster. HERE WE GO! :D

As for what the designed GSO 4.1 will do, Google "puukko" and see what is routinely done with 1/8" rat-tail-tanged, fairly simple carbon steel. With decent technique, I am betting the GSO 4.1 will be a workhorse knife in any of the three steels being offered, and do so without raising a sweat.
