No new photos since cutting the blanks. I just found out that my M-390 blades that were supposed to be at heat treat just completed a 10 day journey around the country, never arriving to heat treat yet. They are heading to heat treat now. Again.... Thanks a LOT, UPS freight. I swear , if I didn't have bad luck, I wouldn't have any luck at all. lol
i know i missed out on the pre order. but can i get on the list of a m390 at regular price? or do i have to wait and see what is left over and buy one from the website?
Guy, could you give us a brief description of the process these blanks go through?
In other words, are they cut out on a cnc machine, then ground, then go to heat
treat, etc? Thanks!
In short, sheet stock gets cut into blanks, blanks go to heat treat, then surface grounding, then bevel grinding, then they get tumbled, then blades are mated to handles, and lastly they are sharpened, wiped down, boxed and shipped.
So, easy![]()
