I took this from the facebook page from Survive!Knives form Guy:

" Ok, not sure if I posted this yet or not. The GSO-4.1's are NOW at heat treat. Apparently the UPS freight truck drove the pallet of GSO-4.1 blades around the country for about two weeks, never delivering them to heat treat. They found the pallet and got it sorted out but it put me back a few weeks. I do expect these to begin delivering by the end of the month. I apologize for any inconvenience. There was absolutely nothing I could have done here but if anyone who preordered a GSO-4.1 would prefer a refund rather than waiting an extra few weeks for one of these outstanding knives, I will refund your money, no problem. Again, I am sorry about this."

So the knives are at Peters Heat treat now. We have to be a little bit more patient and give the tumbs up for the beauty coming! :-)

Is no new, good news.......?

It was a case of shot show on updates and notifications lol. Being in Vegas caused me a lot of log in problems. I spoke with the company doing my production(also finally got meet face to face and talk about upcoming projects) grinding and they will be getting on these blades as soon as they come out from heat treat. I got an email from Brad, up at peter's heat treat earlier this week, telling me the blades did in fact arrive and that he hoped to have them (first the M-390, then the CPM-3V) heading back early this week.

It's all good to go guys. Notifications or not, you can count on me to deliver, even if it is late here in the beginning. I'm working hard to get the processes more streamlined and efficient in the future.

As they move through production grinding, I'll make sure some photos are taken, to get everyone by. ;)

My friend, you are very accommodating. Thanks for update! I hope things continue to go well as your business builds.

And I'd like one Med tshirt, as shown in your edge sharpening video, please ;)

Haha! people are noticing the t-shirts. As soon as the store gets redone I'll get a bunch more printed up and get those listed. I have a few design ideas in mind for some future shirts and other gear. Still also trying to find some high quality, US made shirts to offer on the site. I like a poly/cotton blend for better comfort, breath-ability, long life and faster drying. I know they are more expensive but I like to support US made stuff whenever possible. I couldn't with a clean conscience offer t-shirts with a US flag printed on the sleeve, as I plan on doing in the future, knowing the shirt itself was made elsewhere.

Second that, I'm tired of getting cool-looking but crappy-made shirts that are only good as rags after a couple of washings. I'll be wanting to have a Survive! shirt for a long time!

Thanks for the update. Really excited to check out this knife!

Dang! I missed out on the 2nd preorder for these. I hope I can scrape together enough funds to order one in M390 before they're gone.

One question: The handles look like they are removable, right? Will it be possible to get different handles later on to switch out?

They're removable, you could get spare handles as one of the options when you order the knife

Yes, once my new, more streamlined sit goes lives, I will begin offering more things like optional handle sets. Also, while I will continue to make all of my handles compatible with my universal bolt sets, I will also be working on some medium and long screws, to better fill the bolts barrels, where the handles are thicker. This will also help you guys who want to add liners and such, to thicken up your handle sets. It will take a little time but once the new site is live, you'll begin to see more and more options popping up.

Have you considered a Survive! firesteel?
I'd love to see one similar to the hedgehog leatherworks one.....

Recently I have been adoring the Exotac Firerod. It is almost exactly what I had in mind for a future firesteel and I can't think of a way to really improve on it, at the moment. I'm a big fan of all Exotac's line. If I can conceive something unique down the road, I'll jump on it though.

Also, A Survive necker and a tin knife would be damn cool

Neck knife in the works. It will be light and small enough to carry on a dogtag chain. I guess it would still fit in a tin then, too. lol I'll probably just burn a few hundred off when the design is wrapped up and surprise everyone. Being so small, I should be able to nest a lot on a sheet. The next size up will be the upcoming GSO-3.5, small wilderness knife.

The schedule for this year so far is looking like this: GSO-4.1 in a few weeks, while those are getting wrapped up, I'll be kicking off the GSO-5.1, GSO-7/7 AND their choil-less cousins. Yes, I am going to make variants of those with only grinding choils. SURPRISE! LOL You heard it here first. Details on those will be forthcoming in less than two weeks. With those I'll be bringing back to life, the GSO-5 and GSO-6 monikers. After that I will be doing the GSO-3.5, small wilderness knife. LOTS of function, packed in to a small package. THEN I should be ready to proceed with the first SURVIVE! folder.

Kinda wanting a GSO-5.

Will be watching......

Sweet Mother of God. Sign me up for the 3.5 and the folder. Any specs on the 3.5? I am loving the 10 that came in a couple of weeks ago and I cannot wait for the 4.1 to come in soon. These are exciting times for to be a fan of Survive! Did you get any patches made yet?

No specs that I'm willing to share yet on the 3.5. Just want to be closer to production before being too divulgent with the details. It's going to be a pretty slick little piece though. ;) Working on the patches as well. I should have some listed on the new site by spring. Some full color and some subdued.

Any possibility of a unnecessarily large Survive knife? I got a GSO-10, but now i need a GSO-16 :D

Any chance you’d do a one-off custom for me?
