problems with TheBladeShop ?

As another source you may or may not know of, I've found Sooner State Knives to be fast courteous, and have very competitive proces....

Order #22968
Any chance I will be getting this. I have been waiting on the phone know for almost 30 minutes. I have sent two emails and still no response. It is amazing how fast you can bill my CC but how slow you can respond to my questions.

After 46m 1s Will picked up the phone. That is a small step in the right direction. He was very courteous and apologetic and said my order was shipped on Monday and I should see it today or tomorrow. I hate that everyone is having so many problems with this company because they do seem to be trying. Hopefully it is just growing pains and everything will be straightened out over time. I will post later if I receive or not.

I agree with jill jackson,Randy is great at Savsons.I ordered from him and had a group buy with himas well.I also would like to add Scott from Autumns Edge.Great prices and great service to boot.I considired buying from the bladeshop but for some reason,I just did not feel comfortable doing so.This started back in September and was the same feeling every time I visited their site.

Well I have received my order from thebladeshop. It took almost a month but it is finally here. By the way Bradley makes a quality folding knife. ;)

as a follow-up to my previous post, I was able to talk to Will today about cancelling my order. I did not receive a response to my email about my cancellation so I tried calling today to do just that and was successful. Nothing fancy, just had my ordered cancelled and all is good. Their phone system does seem to be better for those who haven't tried it in a while. I was only on hold for maaaaaybe 5 minutes.

Well this one has been quiet for a while. I guess everyone (including me) learned never to order from thebladeshop!

I thought about ordering another CRKT M21-04, only this time from TheBladeShop. I really like my M21-04 and would like to put another one back in the safe. TheBladeShop has the best price, but I think I will order from Knifeworks. It is a few bucks more, but I do not want to experience the problems I did with my last TheBladeShop order. I know I did say I would give them another chance but not just yet...

The most unsettling thing to me is the absence of any further comments, resolutions, or just a simple "hey guys, we've got it fixed" from the Blade Shop.

To me, the silence is deafening.......

I ordered my first manix (like a rite of passage) and was debating whether to order from thebladeshop or savson. I chose savson solely based on the 125+ free shipping perk (ordered a gator mate also). I bought a crkt m16 13sf from thebladeshop and got a great price, service and speed, although this was in October. I'm a regular reader and infrequent poster here, and I think I'll keep my distance in the future. The purpose of my post? To show that a bad reputation can sway more than the wronged.

Savson is a great choice! Randy and his company absolutely stand behind their reputation!

Well I will have you know thebladeshop is actually now maliciously trying to cheat me! After having waited and waited for my order to come in, I finally sent them an e-mail saying Please Cancel My Order and directed my credit card company to reverse the charges. Low and Behold, one week later I get an e-mail saying my order is on its way. (And by the way, not just an order I had canceled, but according to the e-mail THE WRONG KNIFE.). So I immediately "returned to sender" when it arrived. Now TheBladeShop is petitioning my credit card company to reinstate the charge because they sent me my knife.

So lets recap, one week after I requested (by e-mail, but what choice did I have???) my order be canceled and my credit card company reversed the charges, thebladeshop sent the order anyway and now is trying to get my credit card company to pay them. I would really really really like to know why they are so much more responsive to my credit card company when it reversed the charges than it ever was to me.

They have crossed the line from deliquent to out-right crooked and no one in their right mind should order from these guys EVER.

$hit!

I wish I would've seen this post before last Monday morning. I'm not all too far from Knoxville and ordered a SUBCOM folder and a Cold Steel Kobun through them.

It's now Sunday morning and still nothing. They also saw fit to charge my card right off the bat. I WAS assuming this meant my order shipped as nobody else I know charges until it's ready to ship. I've had items come from Washington state in less time.

This is just F'in great!

They have 5 more business days and I start the chargeback procedure.

Wow, I'm glad I saw this. I almost placed a $150.00 with thebladeshop last week, but decided to hold off. Now I know to never order anything from them!

My guess is that this company probably doesn't stock the products they sell, and just has everything drop shipped from outside vendors. That would explain why they don't seem to know much about shipments, why it takes so long to get an order, and why people are getting their orders from different places.

Exactly...the knife I received (two weeks after my order was canceled) came from somewhere in WA...Since I promptly re-boxed it and sent it back to the Knoxville address, I really didn't pay any attention to it, but is was shipped from WA.

All right, my experience has been totally different and positive. Placed a large order Monday last week (their prices were the main attraction) and received order complete and exactly as ordered today--that included a 3 day lull in USPS deliveries due to the Federal holiday. I had checked order status earlier this week w/ Will and he advised me the order had been shipped and should arrive mid-week. Can't speak for anyone else's experience but mine has been positive and they do have good pricing.

Glad you did not suffer any losses like everyone else here. I guess you did not read this thread BEFORE you ordered! I can't imagine anyone would support a crooked company if they were aware of it. Well, at least you'll know better next time.

Sonofabitch. I wish I'd seen this before I ordered. I'm calling my bank in the morning to see if they can do anything about reversing the charges. I'll send them (bladeshop) an e-mail to cancel my order, but that's all I'm going to do.
