thanks man.
turns out I wont be able to make it down to oklahoma this year due to financial constraints.

some vehicle issues destroyed my fun money nest egg and I'm completely crushed by it.

anyone want to pay to see my feet?
Well I am sorry about the vehicle issues- it is crazy what it costs for repairs. I hope things get fixed up and that you continue with your training.
I got involved in martial arts starting at a young age and love all of it. Stay safe.

Don't worry about batoning. Careful with the tip.

(a Manix 2 in 4V after some yard work / cutting bamboo; 4V should behave similarly to MC except corrosion resistance)
Woah that's quite a bit of damage for carving bamboo. Though someone mentioned the manix 2 tip is quite a bit thinner than a Dek1?

Frickin Google. I finally figured out what was going on with my Nest Thermostat, short of getting ready to rip it out and replace it.

We have Nest cameras outside and I have a yearly plan so it records and stores events and images if i have to go back in time to find someone doing something they shouldn’t. Well this year without my knowledge Google also signed me up for this thing called Nest Renew, where they can control your thermostat and set the temperature lower, “for the environment and energy.” I just got off the phone and canceled it and chewed whoever’s poor ass out. Also went in and disabled the WiFi on it now too. It’s just a thermostat, it was nice to be able to turn on the cooling on the way home, but eh, eff that. I’m not a fan of big brother being able to control my chit.

Yeah, unfortunately there's always fine print to read (and settings to turn off).

Pàdruig Pàdruig , and anyone else that lives or has relatives/friends in Maine, hope no one was affected by the mass shooting last night.
this kind of thing is horrendous, I'm truly baffled by it. I feel so bad for victims of these senseless atrocities and everyone else forever affected by this seemingly endless parade of tragedies.

My view on this is quite controversial

It's really sad. It's really unfortunate. But I choose to put my head in the sand because

A: nothing is going to be done about it
B: nothing really can be done about it
C: there were probably about a hundred traffic fatalities yesterday also. (These tragedies are tragic, but the world is a tragic place. And sad things happen. But we get fixated on the outrageous stuff, when in reality there's lots of dangerous things out there of all kinds and this is but one of them).

People should be outraged by the much larger number of people that die every day due to medical mistakes. For what medicine costs, some of these mistakes are pretty dumb.

On average about 1,200 people die every day due to medical mistakes

I'm not trying to diminish these tragedies I'm just trying to put them in perspective because people tend to think they're extremely important, but they're actually just very newsworthy. In my opinion.
