RAT Cutlery Announces Name Change

I hope it turns out good for ESEE, must have been very annoying for them to be associated with Ontario all the time, and quite confusing for some of the customers as well. I love their knives but I hope that they wont put that skull-logo on all their blades. I would prefer just the letters ESEE on the blade, like they have today with the words: Rowan, Izula, RC-4 etc... simple, stylish and classic looking.
 
Does this mean there might be some closeouts on knives w/ the old logo? This in conjunction with tax returns makes me think I might just have to complete my collection! (I only have an Izula in tan)
 
I like the change.

Those of us who have RAT Pack tattoos - did you get the letters RAT on there - because now it's ESEE? :::breaks out belt sander:::

The skull logo is an integral part of secret cult rituals and must remain.
 
Most of the time, I think skulls look pretty stupid, trying to look tough or something.

I get none of that vibe from the ESEE logo. I think it looks sweet as hell.

I'm hit or miss on the name change, though I'm glad it will help distinguish the current and new knives from the Ontario ones. However, I totally dig the survival-pirate logo, and I'm looking forward to having it on my future blades.

Did they okay this with you Mrs.Shotty ? After all your the one who's going to have to ship all the new ESEE Pack knives,badges,thongs etc. ;)

Won't open for me either. Oh well, I saw this coming sooner or later. As a matter of fact, I thought of this last night for some reason.
 
ESEE sounds all business. I'm the type to prefer how BMW names it's car models simple numbers rather than naming them after ferocious or fast animals like so many other car companies. I see ESEE knives in a similar way. I think it's fitting considering how many military personel and LEOs favor your knives. It definitely works for me.
